Schneider picked up his first win of the season in Tuesday's home opener against the Ducks, allowing a single goal on 24 shots.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor Hall's two power-play goals in the second period helped the Devils flip the script on an early 1-0 deficit, and Schneider shut the door from there on out. The 30-year-old netminder's been his typical stingy self in the early going, and if Hall can prop New Jersey's offense up on a consistent basis, Schneider has a good chance to notch his first 30-win season.

Schneider gets the starting nod against the Ducks on Tuesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider played decent in his first two outings, as he's logged a .926 save percentage, but has yet to be able to come out with a victory. Through the opening three games, Anaheim is averaging only two goals per night, which bodes well for Schneider to perhaps secure his first win of the season. The netminder will need to get some support offensively from his teammates, something the Devils have also struggled with so far this season.

Schneider made 31 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Lightning on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
The Bolts sent wave after wave of speedy, skilled lines at Schneids, who looked sharp for most of the game. He turned away many fine chances, but his teammates stopped scoring at the 4:26 mark of the first period. This could be a symptom of Schneider's entire season.

Schneider will command the crease Saturday night against the host Lightning, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider looked to be in mid-season form in the season opener against the Panthers on Thursday, slapping away 32 of 34 shots through an overtime loss. The Devils were the weakest offensive team last season, but they tried to solve that with the summer's huge acquisition of Taylor Hall. Schneider figures to be doing snow angels with the shredded ice Saturday given that the Bolts have a potent offensive attack led by Steven Stamkos.

Schneider stopped 32 of 34 shots in Thursday's opener against Florida, but was stuck with a 2-1 loss in overtime.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has been one of the NHL's best netminders for years, but is rarely mentioned in the same breath as the league's elite, largely because the Devils' offense has typically been atrocious at supporting him. The additions of Taylor Hall and rookie Pavel Zacha (who had an assist Thursday) were supposed to change that storyline, but the Devils managed just a single goal in the opener. Of course, one game does not a season make; the New Jersey offense will certainly have better days.

Schneider will guard the net for Thursday's opener against the Panthers, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider put up excellent numbers last season, as his 2.15 GAA and .924 save percentage were both good enough for fourth in the league. His win total has increased in each of the last three seasons and could rise once more if he can keep up the good play and if the rest of the Devils can keep up the pace.

Schneider split time with Keith Kinkaid in the Devils' net on Saturday night. He allowed all four Panthers' goals in a 4-2 loss.
EDGE Analysis
The Panthers scored three second-period goals on Schneider and the Devils just couldn't mount a reply. Kinkaid stopped all eight shots he faced. Schneider is among the league's best and is a top goalie target in most formats. Saturday was just an anomaly.

Schneider will start in net Saturday night against the host Panthers, Andrew Gross of The Record reports, adding that the No. 1 backstop will give way to Keith Kinkaid for one period.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider was with Team USA for the World Cup of Hockey last month, but he was used sparingly, having only played in a meaningless contest against the Czech Republic, and not before the Americans learned they'd been eliminated from medal contention. For what it's worth, though, he denied all seven shots in 18:26 between the pipes. With a career GAA of 2.16 through eight years in the NHL, Schneider is clearly in the upper-echelon among fantasy goalies, but the Devils being the worst offensive team last year cut into his win totals. The offseason trade acquisition of sniper Taylor Hall should help in that area.

Schneider gave up three goals on 33 shots during Wednesday's 3-2 preseason loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has now appeared in two games in the preseason, allowing seven goals. The 30-year-old is the clear-cut No. 1 between the pipes for the Devils, and may see a boost in wins with added firepower attacking the opposition. However, New Jersey still trots out a bottom-half defense that could make it difficult for the netminder throughout the year. The 2004 first-round pick has never reached 30 wins, and he'll look to change that in 2016-17.

Schneider will start between the pipes for Wednesday's game against the Islanders, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's no question who the workhorse netminder will be for the Devils this season and Schneider will use Wednesday's contest as a small tune-up before the regular season. He's appeared in one game prior to this, stopping 26 of the 30 shots sent his way.
