It was a nice bounce-back effort by Schneider after he was torched for five goals by Philadelphia in his last start. Opposing netminder Jaroslav Halak was just a bit better in the contest, however, denying Schneider of his 26th win of the season. He's still a workhorse with fantastic rate stats (2.02 GAA and .929 save percentage in 49 games), but he plays behind an offensively challenged Devils squad missing one of their best scorers in Michael Cammalleri (hand), so the wins can sometimes be hard to come by for the 29-year-old.

In short, we can brush this one off as a rare misstep for the usually outstanding Schneider.
