Schneider made 16 saves on 18 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
This game looked for all the world like it was headed for overtime until Schneider was beaten Carolina's Joakim Nordstrom with 1:29 remaining in the third period. Them's the breaks when you've got a pop-gun offense in front of you, and that's certainly what Schneider has to deal with. However, he's also been a far lesser version of himself of late -- Schneider's taken the loss in six of the Devils' last seven games, and he has a brutal .873 save percentage in that span.

Schneider will shield the net at home Tuesday night facing the Hurricanes, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider surrendered seven goals over his last two appearances, with losses against the Blue Jackets and Lightning, respectively. Still, it's worth noting that Schneider will face a Carolina team that shipped away captain Eric Staal and crafty playmaker Kris Versteeg ahead of the trade deadline.

Schneider gave up four goals on 36 shots in a 4-0 loss to the visiting Lightning on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has really been taking it on the chin lately, as he's now lost five of his last six games -- a span in which he's uncharacteristically given up 19 goals. Perhaps he's starting to fatigue from his whopping 53 appearances or the fact that he's faced 1489 shots and counting this season, but the recent cold spell is a concerning trend for owners. Schneider still owns a .925 save percentage and tidy 2.14 GAA, but he needs to be much better to keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race for the offensively challenged Devils.

Schneider was named the starting backstop for Friday's home game against the Lightning, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider was blown up by the lowly Blue Jackets on Tuesday, coughing up three goals on 11 shots before getting yanked after the first period. Now, he's being asked to cool off a Lightning team that has rattled off four straight wins while compiling 16 goals over that span.

Schneider was yanked after giving up three goals on 11 shots in the first period of Thursday's loss against Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Things have been going uncharacteristically poorly for Schneider over his last five games, as he's been tagged for 15 goals on 111 shots -- good for a miserable .865 save mark and four losses. That's an extraordinarily uncharacteristic stretch for Schneider, by far his worst of the year. Backup Keith Kinkaid wasn't any better in relief, though, and the Devils haven't shown much inclination to go away from Schneider, so he seems likely to get right back out there Friday against Tampa Bay.

Schneider was named the starting goalie for Thursday's road match against the Blue Jackets, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has been tough to read over his past five starts. He was torched for nine goals combined by the Flyers and Capitals in a span of four days but surrendered just four more scores between the rest of his outings. Still, there should be no complaints about Schneider's 2.06 GAA and .927 save percentage, plus he has 26 wins which is remarkable considering the Devils score at the weakest rate of any team in the league.

Schneider put up mediocre ratios Tuesday, making just 17 saves on 19 shots, but got plenty of help from his offense in a 5-2 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
So ends Schneider's three-game losing streak, and these offensive reinforcements couldn't have come at a better time, as the Devils are battling for a postseason slot and every point counts right now. It'd been more than a month since Schneider had received five goals of support, with the last time coming Jan. 21 -- and the last time before that way back on Oct. 22.

Schneider has been pegged to start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider enters Monday's contest on a three-game losing streak, having uncharacteristically allowed four or more goals in two of the three. The Rangers aren't the offensive juggernaut that Schneider's last opponent (Washington) presented, but it will likely be a tough matchup against another one of the league's best goaltenders in Henrik Lundqvist.

Schneider made 28 saves in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has lost three straight games and is 3-4-1 in eight starts since the All-Star Game. But he has only allowed more than two goals twice in that span. Schneider is still delivering great individual stats, but he can't win games on his own. His mates need to start scoring a bit more.

Schneider will face the Capitals on the road Saturday night, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has allowed more than two goals in a game just once his last nine outings. He saw the Capitals at home exactly two weeks ago and performed admirably, stopping 27 of 29 shots, but was unable to hang on in the shootout frame. Still, Schneider remains one of the most reliable netminders in the game.
