Although the Anaheim Ducks have been getting plenty of shots on goal in the second round, they haven't been able to create a lot of traffic in front of Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick. That's one of the reasons Quick has allowed only three goals in two games and the Kings are up 2-0 in their series against Anaheim. "It's the playoffs," Corey Perry said. "You got to battle through that. If you're going to accept that, you're not going to have many chances to score. Yeah, we had a lot of shots. The quality of second opportunities, we didn't have." Perry added that the frustrating part is the Ducks talked about this problem prior to Game 2, but they weren't able to execute.

The Anaheim Ducks do not want to come back for a Game 7 at home. They play the Dallas Stars in Game 6 in Texas as they lead three games to two after a 6-2 shellacking of the Stars on Friday in which Corey Perry had a goal and two helpers. The Ducks set a record with four power play goals in the contest. "You don't want to go back home for a Game 7," Perry said. "You want to finish it here and move on. That's our mindset and that's the way we got to approach it."

Corey Perry scored on Friday to break a 10 game goal scoring drought in the playoffs. It was a long stretch for the winger who potted 43 goals this season as his longest goalless drought this year was only seven games. He went through the entire seven game series against the Red Wings in 2013 with nary a goal as the Ducks dropped the series. "It feels good," Perry said. "Obviously last year didn't go as planned. But if you look at the positives, there were a lot of chances I had. It didn't go in the net. It could have gone either way. If one went in, we might not be talking about this. But my job is to produce. It didn't work last year. Hopefully this year, starting last night, it could be a different story."

He now has 43 goals and 82 points in 80 games this season, which makes this the second best campaign of his career. He should be able to put up similar numbers in 2014-15.
