Colin Wilson was the lone goal scorer in Tuesday's 1-0 win against San Jose.
His fourth goal of the season came in overtime and it snapped a mini two-game point drought for the 23-year-old forward. David Legwand and Ryan Ellis assisted on Wilson's marker.

Colin Wilson recorded two goals in Nashville's 3-0 whitewash of Los Angeles on Thursday.
The 23-year-old has been heating up of late with six points in his last three outings. Predators defenseman Kevin Klein had two helpers in the contest, while Gabriel Bourque scored the team's other marker. Shea Weber also got his first point of the year when he assisted on Wilson's second goal.

Colin Wilson had three assists on Tuesday.
That gives Wilson five points in nine games this season. He's a fringe player in standard fantasy leagues, but he's also heating up after a slow start. If you like to pick up players and ride them while they're hot, Wilson isn't a bad guy to take a chance on.

Colin Wilson was placed on the third line with Paul Gaustad at center and Matt Halischuk on the other side.
This was a bit of a surprise as Wilson played most of last season as a top six forward but don't read too much into it as coach Barry Trotz loves to switch his lines. "It's fun to be playing with them. I've played with everybody on the team, so nothing too different there," Wilson said. "The lines change with injuries. You have to be ready for everything." Mike Fisher centered the first line between Sergei Kostitsyn and Martin Erat, while the second line consisted of David Legwand, Craig Smith and Patric Hornqvist. The fourth line had Chris Mueller at center between Nick Spaling and Brandon Yip.

Colin Wilson will probably start the shortened season as a winger and he might not make the adjustment to center this season.
The original plan was to gradually transition Wilson from the wing to center over the course of the campaign, but the lockout complicated those plans. Still, Wilson is confident that he can play center if asked. "I've been playing center my whole life," Wilson said. "When I get out there, there's going to be adjustments that I have to make just playing a little bit more down low."

Colin Wilson's father, Carey, was in the NHL during the 1992 NHL players' strike.
This is obviously a lockout as opposed to a strike, and the 1992 strike only lasted 10 days, but still this means that two generations of Wilsons have been involved in NHL labor stoppages. "He's more of a 'don't burn yourself out' kind of guy," Wilson said. "He doesn't think I should be skating right now. I'm kind of exceeding his expectations right now. He told me to lay low and not get too bored and keep moving, so that way it doesn't seem as long." Colin has been practicing with some of his fellow locked-out players at A-Game Sportsplex. He hasn't ruled out the possibility of playing in Europe.

Colin Wilson is confident he can bring more consistency to his game during the 2012-13 campaign.
"Towards the end of the season I started getting more inconsistent," he said. "The first half of the season, there were very few nights I didn't have my 'A' or 'B' game. I'm confident in my consistency going forward. I think I've grown in that category since the beginning of my career until now." Wilson produced 15 goals and 20 assists in 68 games last season, but he had just two points in nine contests following the trade deadline. The Predators acquired forwards Andrei Kostitsyn and Paul Gaustad, which gave him a reduced role and Alexander Radulov's return from Russia didn't help either. With Radulov and Kostitsyn out of the picture, Wilson should get a larger role with the club again in 2012-13 in the top-six forward group and he is expected to get a look at center during training camp, which is his natural position.

Colin Wilson inked a three-year, $6 million contract with the Predators.
The 22-year-old was a restricted free agent and is coming off a season in which he scored 15 goals and recorded 35 points. Wilson's salary was $875,000 last season, though bonus money netted him double that amount.

Colin Wilson will have a lot to prove next season in Nashville.
A restricted free agent this offseason, the Predators will make their pitch to keep him in town. However, the 22-year-old is still very difficult to figure out. He matched his career-high point total by the end of Februrary with 34, but had just one more point after that. The acquisitions of Paul Gaustad and Andrei Kostitsyn at the trade deadline didn't help his playing time or his role, and he became a a healthy scratch in all but two contests after March 15, beginning the playoffs as one, too. He didn't play until Game 2 of the second-round series, scoring in Game 5.

Colin Wilson scored, but the Nashville Predators lost to the Phoenix Coyotes on Monday night, 2-1.
Wilson's was his first-ever postseason goal, but he won't have anymore time this year to improve on that total, as the Preds were knocked out of the playoffs in five games. David Legwand and Ryan Suter had the assists. Shea Weber had a game-high seven shots on goal, but beating Mike Smith between the pipes was hard to do in this one.
