Colin Wilson was placed on the third line with Paul Gaustad at center and Matt Halischuk on the other side. This was a bit of a surprise as Wilson played most of last season as a top six forward but don't read too much into it as coach Barry Trotz loves to switch his lines. "It's fun to be playing with them. I've played with everybody on the team, so nothing too different there," Wilson said. "The lines change with injuries. You have to be ready for everything." Mike Fisher centered the first line between Sergei Kostitsyn and Martin Erat, while the second line consisted of David Legwand, Craig Smith and Patric Hornqvist. The fourth line had Chris Mueller at center between Nick Spaling and Brandon Yip.
