Coburn (lower body) could skate Wednesday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Coburn was using crutches as recently as Monday, but it appears the Flyers were just being cautious, as Coburn should be able to return to the ice soon, even if he does not Wednesday.

Coburn (lower body) is day-to-day, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Coburn was seen walking around on crutches Monday, but apparently his injury isn't serious to warrant a trip to IR. Considering he is still active, it's reasonable to expect him to return within a week, barring any setbacks.

Coburn (lower body) will be evaluated by a specialist Monday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The Flyers are optimistic they'll receive a positive report on Coburn, who was spotted with crutches prior to Thursday's game. If Monday's examination confirms the team's belief about the injury being not especially serious, there's a chance Coburn could be back in the lineup as early as next Saturday against the Stars.

General manager Ron Hextall indicated Friday that he was more optimistic about Coburn's (lower body) condition following the defenseman initial diagnosis, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Hextall said that the Flyers feared that Coburn would be lost for multiple weeks after suffering the injury in Wednesday's season opener against the Bruins, but the club is now hopeful Coburn may be back on the ice within the next several days. While Coburn is still probably looking at a multi-game absence, the Flyers will likely just address his absence internally, rather than having to make a trade to fill a long-term void.

General manager Ron Hextall suggested Coburn's lower-body injury was more than a day-to-day concern, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Coburn was spotted using crutches prior to Thursday's game, so it certainly seems like a long-term absence could be in store. The Flyers haven't offered any information regarding how he sustained the injury, but he did appear to be in some pain after taking a puck to the foot from the Bruins' Torey Krug on Wednesday night. If he's indeed sidelined for multiple weeks, the Flyers' already-suspect blue line could be in some trouble.

Coburn was pulled out of lineup for Thursday's game against the Devils due to a lower-body injury.
Coburn wasn't on the ice for the Flyers' optional skate in the morning, but there wasn't any indication until pregame warmups that he'd be unavailable for Thursday's contest. He was on the ice for just over 20 minutes in Wednesday's season opener, skating a total of 27 shifts. Nick Schultz will enter the lineup in his stead.

Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca said that the Edmonton Oilers could be interested in Philadelphia blueliner Braydon Coburn.
The Oilers certainly need help on their blueline and he is a steady defenseman despite his weak showing at times during the first round of the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs. He is a minutes eater on the blueline and can play the power play as well but his value will be five-on-five and on penalty killing. Stay tuned.

Braydon Coburn's muscular play was conspicuous during the Flyers' 2-1 win over the Rangers in Game 4 of their opening-round playoff series Friday night.
He played 25:27 grueling minutes against Rangers superstar Rick Nash and shut him down. Nash played 17:11 with five shots and was a minus-1. ''I thought (Coburn) had a great game," Flyers coach Craig Berube said. "He skated, really skated and was strong on the puck and strong on his breakout plays. He did a great job down low against Nash. That is not an easy guy to check. That whole line is not easy to check with (Marty) St. Louis and (Derek) Stepan, a good line. Our D as a whole did a good job."
