General manager Ron Hextall indicated Friday that he was more optimistic about Coburn's (lower body) condition following the defenseman initial diagnosis, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Hextall said that the Flyers feared that Coburn would be lost for multiple weeks after suffering the injury in Wednesday's season opener against the Bruins, but the club is now hopeful Coburn may be back on the ice within the next several days. While Coburn is still probably looking at a multi-game absence, the Flyers will likely just address his absence internally, rather than having to make a trade to fill a long-term void.
