Coburn (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, CSNPhilly.com's Sarah Baicker reports. With Coburn ruled out four weeks Friday due to the injury, he'll unsurprisingly move to IR to create some roster space. Coburn suffered the foot injury in the Flyers' first game of the season against the Bruins, but had taken pregame warmups as a recently as Tuesday before suffering a setback. Mark Alt will be recalled from AHL Adirondback in a corresponding move.

Coburn (lower body) will be out four weeks, according to general manager Ron Hextall. Coburn has already missed two weeks with the injury, and it was thought he would be able to return earlier in the week, but the injury appears to be much more serious than originally anticipated. Andrew MacDonald will also be out for about a month with a lower-body injury, so the Flyers are noticeably thin on defense. Call-ups for the injured defensemen are undetermined at this time.

Coburn (lower body) will not play Wednesday against the Penguins, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The hope was that Coburn would be able to return Tuesday following a two-week absence, but he didn't fare well in warmups and ended up as a late scratch. The 29-year-old will be forced to sit Wednesday as well, and he should be considered questionable to take the ice Saturday until there's indication otherwise.

Though he looked set to return to action Tuesday versus the Blackhawks, Coburn (lower body) ended up being a late scratch by the Flyers, Brian Hedger of NHL.com reports. It seems likely that Coburn didn't feel 100 percent healthy during warmups, which may have prompted the Flyers to keep him out as a precaution. Coburn will miss his fifth straight contest and turn his focus toward getting ready for Wednesday's tilt with the Penguins.

Coburn (lower body) will play Tuesday versus the Blackhawks, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. As anticipated, Coborn was given the go-ahead to return to the lineup after he completed the morning skate without any further setbacks. He'll step back into a top-four role on defense following his four-game hiatus.

Coburn (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks, CSN's Tim Panaccio reports. The Flyers have yet to rule Coburn either in or out of Tuesday's game, but he took part in Tuesday's morning skate and head coach Craig Berube thinks he is ready to play, so it seems more likely that he will suit up Tuesday than not.

Coburn (lower body) is expected to play Tuesday against the Blackhawks, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Coburn sat out Saturday's game against the Stars, but felt much better Monday, and should be back in the lineup for Tuesday's contest. Coburn was plus-1 in the first game of the season, but hasn't been healthy since, and has yet to crack the score sheet.

Coburn (lower body) will not play Saturday against the Stars, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Coburn was on the ice for Saturday's morning session, but the defenseman said he still wasn't feeling comfortable enough while skating to make his return to the lineup. Coach Craig Berube was optimistic that Coburn would slot back in Tuesday against the Blackhawks, but he'll probably need to get in another practice or two before his return is confirmed.

Coach Craig Berube said Coburn (lower body) is "iffy" for Saturday's game against the Stars, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Coburn resumed practicing Wednesday and was back on a pairing with Andrew MacDonald on Friday, but it doesn't look like the injury isn't entirely behind him just yet. The Flyers will assess his condition during Saturday's morning skate, but if it's determined he's not yet 100 percent healthy, Coburn would likely sit out for his fourth straight game.

Coburn (lower body) is expected to return to the lineup Saturday against the Stars, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Coburn was back on the ice for Wednesday's practice, mixing in with regular pairing partner Andrew MacDonald during the session. His return would offer a helpful upgrade to the team's blue line, but perhaps not a significant enough one to remedy the Flyers' 0-2-2 start to the campaign.
