Brayden Schenn practiced on Wednesday for the first time since sustaining a broken foot on Oct. 26 against Montreal. Schenn was limited in the session though and he did not participate in the team's wind sprints. He is still expected to miss a little more than a week, according to his initial timetable, but is obviously a step in the right direction.

Brayden Schenn had no points and was minus-three in his debut with the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Those aren't pretty numbers, but Flyers coach Peter Laviolette ins't reading too much into them. "I thought he had a strong game," Laviolette said. "Sometimes the statistics are not a reflection of somebody's game." Schenn played on the third line with Jakub Voracek and Scott Hartnell.

It's unclear who Brayden Schenn will play with in his NHL debut on Thursday night. Coach Peter Laviolette hasn't ruled out the idea of putting him with fellow rookies Sean Couturier and Matt Read, which would bump Scott Hartnell to the fourth line. Schenn is excited to be in the NHL again after being called up from the minors on Wednesday. "Obviously I wanted to start the year with the Flyers," he said. "But with the cap [and] coming off a shoulder injury, I went down there, played some games, played in all situations and for me I didn't try to let that affect me."
