Sutter has been diagnosed with an abdominal strain and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Jeff Blashill indicated earlier in the week that Sutter was close to a return, but a visit to a specialist yielded bad news for the 26-year-old centre. Apparently, the strain is significant enough to keep Sutter out of action for at least another two weeks -- he's already missed close to two weeks -- and there's no guarantee he will be cleared for action after his follow-up exam.

Sutter (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against the Blackhawks, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter has skipped the past four games because of the issue, and it appears that absence will extend to five games with Saturday now out of the question. He'll next receive a chance to rejoin the lineup Sunday against the Devils, but there's no indication at this point that he's on the cusp of returning.

Sutter (lower body) remains day-to-day ahead of Wednesday night's matchup with the Jets, Sean C. Reynolds of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter's ailment has caused him to miss the past three games, but by not drawing into the lineup Wednesday, he'll have all the way until Saturday to heal before the next contest for the Canucks. Vancouver has lost three straight games and they really could use Sutter as he is a proficient penalty killer and also adds decent offensive totals at the center position. Through 16 games, Sutter has four goals and assists apiece.

Sutter (lower body) won't return to the lineup Monday against the Canadiens, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter was believed to potentially be an option for Monday, but it appears he'll rest for a few more days, with Hunter Shinkaruk drawing into the lineup to make his NHL debut in his place. Sutter's next chance to rejoin the lineup will come Wednesday against the Jets.

Sutter (lower body) did not practice Sunday, but coach Jeff Blashill indicated that he could return Monday, Iain MacIntyre of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter has missed each of the past two contests because of the lower-body issue, but it sounds as though is nearing a return. However, his absence from practice Sunday doesn't bode as well as if he had been out there. The decision on his status should come at some point Monday.

Sutter has been dealing with a lower-body injury, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter was held out of Thursday's contest against the Senators, and it now appears as though this may have been the reason. He's being considered day-to-day for the time being, so it's possible he's ready to draw back into the lineup in time for Saturday's contest against the Maple Leafs.

Sutter scored his third goal of the season on the power play in Saturday's loss to the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first power-play tally of the season for Sutter, who now has six points in eight games. The 26-year-old has looked good with Vancouver, firing 19 shots on goal and producing in a top-six role. He won't produce huge point totals, but another 20-goal season is a realistic possibility.

Sutter scored a shorthanded goal and added two assists against the Blues on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter came over in a trade, and so far has two goals and three assists in five games. That's a nice early return, but it is a very early return, and all those points came in only two games.

Sutter potted a goal and added an assist in Vancouver's opening night victory in Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
Sutter made the most of his first line minutes alongside the Sedin twins with a two-point night. The 26-year-old should continue to have surprisingly high value as long as he's skating on Vancouver's top line.
