Austin recorded an assist for the second consecutive game in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
While it's nice to see Watson finally string together a mini-point streak, the fact remains he still has just eight points on the season and skates mainly on the Preds' fourth line. As such, his fantasy value remains pretty close to zero in most standard formats.

Austin returned to the lineup Saturday against the Panthers following a two-game stint as a healthy scratch. He recorded his fourth assist of the season inn 12:42 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Watson has watched from the press box frequently this season, and now has just six points in 39 games. When he does find himself in the lineup, he tends to play on the Preds' fourth line alongside Paul Gaustad and Miikka Salomaki. Needless to say, his fantasy value is strictly limited to very deep formats.

Watson played just five of the Preds' 12 games in January. He has just five points in 35 games this season and has not cracked the scoresheet since Nov. 10.
EDGE Analysis
Watson spends far too much time on the bench as a healthy scratch, and even when he does play, he very often sees fewer than 10 minutes of ice time per game. He does not possess any real fantasy value at the present time.

Watson returned to the lineup Monday against the Rangers following a four-game stint as a healthy scratch. He did not record a point in his team's 5-3 victory, and was a minus-3 in just 12 minutes of ice time skating on the Preds' fourth line.
EDGE Analysis
It's never a good return to the lineup when you are on the ice for all of the opposing team's goals and don't contribute to any of your own. Watson has had a pretty good run the past few years with AHL Milwaukee (44 points in 76 games last season), but at the NHL level he's struggled to find his game. He hasn't scored a point since Nov. 10 and has trouble securing an everyday spot in the lineup, giving him fantasy value of pretty much zero in most formats. Avoid.

Watson skated a season-low 6:14 during Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers, and was held off the scoresheet for the 11th straight game.
EDGE Analysis
Anyone who thought Watson might be on the verge of a breakout back on Nov. 10 when he scored a goal and two assists against the Senators has been sorely disappointed. Despite being one of the team scoring leaders at AHL Milwaukee last season (44 points in 76 games), he is nothing more than a fourth-line player with the Preds. Until he graduates to more of a top-six player role - which we expect he will, eventually - Watson is to be avoided for fantasy purposes.

Watson collected a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
The former first round draft pick is a promising prospect, and will get his first extended look in the NHL this season. Through 11 games, Watson has recorded two goals and three assists to go along with a plus-4 rating.

Watson (upper body) will return to the lineup Thursday against the Ducks, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watson missed Tuesday's game because of the upper-body injury, but he'll return to the lineup Thursday to face the Ducks, likely rejoining Eric Nystrom and Paul Gaustad on the Preadtors' fourth line.

Watson (upper body) is expected to play Thursday against the Ducks, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watson was held out of Tuesday's matchup with the Lightning with an upper-body injury, but appears poised to return to the Preds' lineup for Thursday's tilt against Anaheim. The 24-year-old forward has tallied one goal in three games with Nashville this season, and will likely return to a bottom-six role if he is indeed able to suit up Thursday against the Ducks.

Watson missed Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay with an upper-body injury, Adam Vingan of the Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watson saw his first game action of the season on the Preds' recent road trip, and actually scored his first goal of the season against the Islanders on Thursday. That said, Watson typically skates on the Preds' fourth line and averages just 10-12 minutes per night, giving him marginal fantasy value even when healthy.

Watson scored his first goal of the year Thursday in a loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Watson's unassisted tally early in the first period opened the scoring and represented his second career goal. He's still without an assist in his eight-game NHL career to this point, but Watson's main skill has typically been getting in the goal column, as evidenced by his three straight seasons of 20-plus markers in the AHL.
