Andrew Cogliano has 10 goals and 22 points in 39 games, one point short of his total in last season's lockout-shortened schedule. His work has been crucial to keeping the Ducks at or near the top in the West."He's been good for us every game," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "There's I think maybe two games for us this year where I thought he wasn't a positive factor. And it wasn't through lack of effort, it was just that things weren't going right for him. When you have that consistency from someone, you know you can put him in the lineup every night and you're getting the same kind of game, that's perfect."

Andrew Cogliano scored a goal and registered an assist on Monday. Cogliano has three goals and nine points in his last eight games. Of course, he'll cool down at some point in the not too distant future and probably end up with around 40 points in 2013-14.

Andrew Cogliano has become a solid two-way player in the NHL. Cogliano came into the NHL as a scoring winger as he had 50 points in his final year at the University of Michigan in 38 games and then had 45 points in his rookie season with the Oilers at age 20. But he has never been able to match those numbers since. He was dealt to the Ducks in the 2011 off-season and worked hard on his defense so he is now a solid bottom six forward who can score 15-20 goals and 30-35 points. "Considering my first year, where I thought he was really. ..," said Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau. "But he's done a great job since then. He's a really good defensive forward now that's still going to get you 15 goals." He is worth a lineup spot in deep leagues as he has had a good plus/minus in the last two seasons. He has nine goals and 15 points this season in 32 games.

Andrew Cogliano lit the lamp twice for the Ducks in their 5-2 triumph over the Blues on Saturday night. Cogliano had a spurt of goals in four straight games earlier in November, then went cold, and now has three goals in his last five games. Cogliano isn't going to put a ton of points on the boad this season, but the fact he's trending to top the 20-goal mark for thefirst time in his career has value in fantasy leagues. Ryan Getzlaf and Nick Bonino each had a goal and an assist, while Corey Perry potted one of his own.

Andrew Cogliano scored his third goal of the season on Wednesday. Cogliano now has seven points in 17 games this season. We don't anticipate him having much fantasy value in standard leagues in 2013-14.

The Ducks don't want to overlook the struggling Sabres. Anaheim played very well against Boston in a shootout loss, but the Bruins were on the second of a back-to-back. Now, they'll play a Sabres team that is 2-12-1 and it's important to not overlook them. "There's no easy games in this league, really," forward Andrew Cogliano said. "Obviously they're struggling this year. They're a team that's desperate to win. Whenever you play a desperate team, it doesn't matter where they are in the standings. For us, it doesn't change anything. We must focus on what we need to do."
