Chucky's tied his 44-point output from last season when he played in 12 fewer games, but the difference this year is that he's achieved a new career high with 20 points on the man advantage. The Wisconsin native is day-to-day by default -- at least until more information is disclosed.

The 24-year-old remains a fantasy enigma, posting two multi-point performances and eight goose eggs over his last 12 games. Galchenyuk has scored more than 40 points in four straight seasons now, but his talent has always suggested he was capable of producing at a higher level, even if his compete level limits his ceiling.

Galchenyuk was dropped from the top line and showed good chemistry with Charles Hudon and Jacob De La Rose. He scored his 16th goal of the season finishing a feed from Hudon on a 3-on-1 rush. Galchenyuk produces offensive wizardry, but can be hamstrung by the team's lack of firepower. He has six points in the last 10 games, however, he hasn't recorded a point in seven of those contests.

Galchenyuk scored three goals and added an assist during Friday's 6-3 win over the Islanders.

With just three assists through his previous nine games, this was a welcomed offensive outburst from Galchenyuk. The 24-year-old forward's 9.2 shooting percentage is well below the 15.4 mark he posted over the previous two seasons, so there is likely still positive regression ahead in the goal column. Additionally, a late-season surge could salvage an otherwise disappointing season. However, looking ahead, time might be running out for Galchenyuk to live up to the offensive potential he's flashed early in his career.

Galchenyuk showed off his puck-handling wizardry to feed Nikita Scherbak for a breakaway tally that got Montreal within a goal before the Golden Knights pulled away. It was a brief flash-forward into what could be a nice future for the Canadiens, who are playing out a miserable 2017-18 season. The Wisconsin native has been creating scoring chances, delivering six assists over the last seven games, but hasn't scored his own goal over the last 10 games.

Galchenyuk had two assists, one shot and one blocked shot over 16:49 of ice time in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

The 23-year-old winger has 30 points in 52 games this season, however, the one-time 30-goal scorer has scored just 12 times on a career-low 9.0 shooting percentage. With the Canadiens seemingly to be sellers at the trade deadline, it's not out of the question that Montreal trades the offensively gifted Galchenyuk, who has not lived up to expectations since being the third overall draft pick in 2012.

Galchenyuk snapped a three-game drought with Tuesday's output, notching a team-high seventh power-play goal and 13th point with a man advantage. If only that were his full-time job. Galchenyuk's offensive gifts are on par with the game's elite, but his defensive suffers. He's top among the Habs' forwards at minus-21, and Tuesday's positive plus-minus was just the seventh time all year that's happened.

While the talented winger has now marked the scoresheet in four of his past five games for two goals, three assists and four power-play points, he's also saddled fantasy owners with a minus-5 rating during that stretch. In settings excluding the category, the recent uptick in production is encouraging for a strong second half. However, his minus-20 rating for the campaign has been crippling, and it's likely not sitting well with old-school head coach Claude Julien.
