Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway stressed Monday that the team will not work to change Tim Tebow's delivery this offseason. Elway, who will put in personal time with Tebow, doesn't believe quarterbacks can alter their releases much. He cited "feet, drops, and timing" as crucial areas for Tebow to improve, saying "your feet are your time clock." Added Elway, "We're so hopeful that Tim's that guy. He has work to do. ... He made strides this year and got a lot of experience this year."

Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway said at the team's season-ending press conference Monday that Tim Tebow has "earned the right" to be Denver's starting quarterback entering 2012 training camp. "As it stands right now, we've got two quarterbacks under contract," Elway said, referring to Tebow and 2011 undrafted rookie Adam Weber. "We have to be in the market to find more quarterbacks." Elway praised Tebow's work ethic, and said he plans to spend "considerable time" with Denver's QB group this offseason. The length of Tebow's 2012 leash may depend on the quality of backup the Broncos acquire. Weber projects as Denver's third-stringer next season.

Tim Tebow completed just 9-of-26 passes for 136 yards and added five rushes for 13 yards in the Broncos' Divisional round of the playoffs. Bill Belichick had two weeks to prepare a remedy for the Broncos' afraid-to-throw option offense, and the results were ugly for Tebow. By three minutes into the second half, Tom Brady had twice as many touchdowns as Denver completions. Although Tebow was far from the only culprit -- his receivers dropped a handful of passes -- his 34.6 completion percentage is the lowest on 20+ attempts in a playoff game in 14 years. The Denver Post has confirmed that Tebow is locked in as the opening-day starter for 2012, but he'll have a short leash if he doesn't show significant improvement as a passer.

"Multiple sources" tell Profootballtalk.com the Broncos are prepared to bench Tim Tebow if he struggles against the Steelers in Sunday's Wild Card game. The Broncos reportedly "have a package for (backup Brady) Quinn to be used in second-and-long or third-and-long situations." It would be incorrect to say coach John Fox has lost faith in Tebow since he hasn't had faith in him from the beginning, but it's clear Tebow's turnover-marred performances during Denver's recent three-game losing streak have Fox ready to turn to Quinn, who has not taken a regular-season snap since 2009. Tebow will be facing perhaps his most difficult test of the season Sunday in a Steelers defense ranked first against the pass and eighth against the run.

Tim Tebow was horrific in Denver's Week 17 loss to the Chiefs, completing just 6-of-22 passes for 60 yards and an interception while also losing a fumble. He scrambled just six times for 16 yards. Tebow was simply overmatched against a Chiefs defense that's slowed down Carson Palmer and Aaron Rodgers in recent weeks, tossing more passes out-of-bounds than to his receivers. Routinely forced out of the pocket, he could make nothing happen on the run. Tebow has committed five turnovers in his past two starts after entering Week 16 with only six. Looking more like a liability than savior heading into the postseason, Tebow finishes 2011-12 with 1,729 yards passing, 660 yards rushing, 18 total touchdowns and dreadful 46.7 completion percentage. All but 10 of his pass attempts came after the Broncos' Week 6 bye.

Sources have indicated to NFL Network's Jeff Darlington that the Broncos "plan to move forward with the mindset" that Tim Tebow will open 2012 as the starter regardless of Sunday's outcome. Tebow has already won over the locker room and the fan base, and he can make the decision a no-brainer by sending the Broncos to the playoffs with a win against Kyle Orton and the Chiefs. Developing as a passer while winning games, Tebow has put football czar John Elway in a draft position that makes adding a first-round QB unlikely for 2012.

One of Tim Tebow's Week 16 interceptions has been officially changed to a lost fumble. Midway through the fourth quarter last week, Bills linebacker Chris Kelsey knocked the ball out of Tebow's hands. Spencer Johnson caught it in midair and returned to for a touchdown. Upon further review, Tebow's arm was not coming forward and the play is a fumble, not an interception. He now has five interceptions on the season, not six.

According to the Denver Post, Saturday will be the coldest game Tim Tebow has played in during his "football life." Highs in Buffalo are projected in the upper 30s, and Tebow, a Florida native, has apparently never played in temperatures colder than 42 degrees. It's something to consider if you're searching for tiebreakers on a close lineup decision at quarterback, but the weather is likely to have little, if any, effect on Tebow's game. He's Rotoworld's ninth-ranked quarterback for Week 16.
