ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Tim Tebow is working on shortening his throwing motion and delivery with UCLA OC Noel Mazzone.
"He's trying to shorten that motion," Schefter said. "... He's doing what it takes to get it tigher, get it more compact, shorter. Less time with the football." Tebow's decision to work with someone outside the Broncos' organization may have raised some eyebrows. But players can only rehab -- not work out -- at their team's facilities until mid-April, according to the new CBA.

Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway reiterated Wednesday that Tim Tebow will be a starter entering training camp.
Elway hinted that Denver will make two offseason quarterback decisions, but the job is Tebow's to lose. "No question, he's our starter going in," Elway said. "But competition will be good for everybody, at every position." Tebow posted a 12:6 TD-to-INT ratio while averaging 5.41 yards per rushing attempt in 2011. He's still going to have to be more efficient than a 46.5-percent passer, and must cut down on fumbles (13 in 11 starts).

Tim Tebow is spending time working on his throwing mechanics with UCLA OC Noel Mazzone this offseason.
Tebow and Mazzone are reportedly doing two-a-days in Los Angeles. "He just came out here to throw and work on a few things and see if we can just become a little more efficient," said Mazzone. "Throwing motion, footwork, everything I work on with all my quarterbacks." Mazzone describes Tebow's delivery as, "kind of like a golfer who hit that bad drive. Every other guy in the foursome can tell you what you did wrong and all three opinions are different."

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos' offseason plan is to add both a veteran and a prospect at quarterback.
The Broncos are "in the market" for veteran as insurance for or competition against Tim Tebow. If the staff molds the offense to Tebow's talents, an option threat such as Dennis Dixon would make sense. Otherwise, the Broncos could make a run at a Chad Henne type. The prospect doesn't figure to come before the mid-rounds of the draft.

Jaguars owner Shahid Kahn said if he owned the team two years ago, Tim Tebow would "absolutely" be in Jacksonville.
"100 percent I would have," Khan added. "You hate to get into 20/20 hindsight and finger pointing, but certainly (we would have taken Tebow) if I had anything to do with it. We probably won't have a chance like that again." Jacksonville is an obvious landing spot if Tebow doesn't pan out in Denver long term.

GM Brian Xanders says the Broncos want Tim Tebow to work on "everything" this offseason.
"It's the precision on the passing, it's the accuracy, the footwork, the mechanics, the rhythm, the timing, the quickness, the release," Xanders said. All signs out of the Broncos' front office this winter point to the team hoping it can mold Tebow to its offense instead of vice-versa. If Denver doesn't make significant scheme and personnel changes, it will be setting Tebow up to fail in 2012.

Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway says any quarterback the team acquires this offseason will compete for the starting job in training camp.
"Any free agent or anybody that comes in here when we start training camp is going to be competing for jobs," Elway said. Elway has anointed Tim Tebow the Broncos' starter going into camp, but still refuses to fully commit to him for 2012. It's extremely early in the offseason, but it doesn't sound like the Broncos have plans to build their offense in a way more befitting of Tebow's unorthodox skill-set.

The Denver Post reports the chest injury Tim Tebow suffered in the Divisional Round would have prevented him from playing in the AFC Championship Game had Denver advanced.
The injury is not expected to disrupt Tebow's offseason training, but highlights the punishment he was taking toward the end of the season as teams began to load up the box on nearly every play. The Broncos need to do a better job of putting Tebow in position to succeed in 2012, but it's ultimately on him to make opposing defenses respect his ability to pass.

In the first half of their final four games, the Broncos ran the ball on 45-of-49 first-down attempts.
That's an alarmingly lopsided number, and goes a long way toward explaining why the Broncos often fell behind early as they sputtered down the stretch. It also speaks to how unwilling the Broncos' coaching staff was to let Tim Tebow try and make plays, and why his production often spiked in the second half. Denver is going to have to feature far less conservative play-calling if it hopes to get off to a strong start in 2012.

Tim Tebow reportedly played through torn cartilage in his rib, a bruised lung, and fluid build-up in the plural space of his chest in the second half of the Divisional round playoff loss at New England.
The injuries were sustained on one of more than a dozen hits Tebow took in the pocket. Much was made of Brady Quinn warming up on the sidelines in the blowout, but it now appears to be the direct result of the vicious hit. Tebow, who was determined to finish the game, had trouble sleeping over the weekend. The injuries are not expected to delay his offseason training regimen.
