Griffin caught three passes on four targets for seven yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
The Texans tight ends have taken a higher profile in the passing attack since Week 4, but most of that attention has been focused on C.J. Fiedorowicz. Griffin's touchdown was his first of the season and remains a secondary target to Fiedorowicz.

Griffin caught three of three passes for 34 yards in Sunday's win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
After some highs and lows earlier this season, Griffin has settled into a pretty consistent role - two or three catches per game for under 35 yards. Starter C.J. Fiedorowicz, meanwhile, has seen his role in the passing game increase with six straight games with at least four catches. Occasionally, a pass-catching backup tight end will steal a touchdown here and there, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Griffin as he's been targeted in the red zone just twice this season.

Griffin (ribs) was a full participant at Friday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has practiced fully all week and will play Monday night against Denver. This will be the first time in four weeks the Texans have a full complement of tight ends available as Stephen Anderson (hamstring) will play for the first time since Week 3. The tight end position has emerged as a viable target since head coach Bill O'Brien took over the play-calling duties, though the primary beneficiary of that focus has been C.J. Fiedorowicz.

Griffin caught three of five targets for 31 yards in Houston's 26-23 win over the Indianapolis on Sunday in Week 6. He was in and out of the NFL's concussion protocol during the practice week leading up to this game.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin and fellow tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz combined for 12 targets and nine catches on a night when the Texans played without rookie Will Fuller (8.0 targets per game). The emergence of the tight end as a target in the Houston offense, something that started in full effect when head coach Bill O'Brien began calling plays, has been a pleasant surprise. Particularly as quarterback Brock Osweiler struggles to get the ball in the hands of his wideouts. Griffin leads Fiedorowicz in overall targets, but Fiedorowicz holds the target edge, 20-16, over the past three weeks.

Griffin (concussion) has been cleared to play in Week 6.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin suffered a concussion in last week's game against Minnesota but was able to return to practice in full on Thursday and Friday. Te team removed his injury designation and he'll be ready to roll on Sunday, where he'll again backup C.J. Fiedorowicz.

Griffin (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin will now go through a practice session before being tested further under the league's concussion protocol. The tight end was knocked out of Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but if all goes well, he will be cleared to play in Week 6's matchup with the Colts. Look for more updates to come as Sunday night's game approaches. The Texans are dealing with multiple injuries at the tight end position as Stephen Anderson continues to nurse a hamstring injury, leaving starter C.J. Fiedorowicz as the only healthy option on the active roster.

Griffin (concussion) remains in the NFL's concussion protocol and did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin was deemed "day-to-day" by head coach Rex Ryan, but, even considering this endorsement of health, the tight end still seems unlikely to play against the Colts this weekend. To do so, the UConn product would need to progress rapidly through concussion protocol, which includes displaying the capability to participate in practice. Until that happens, Griffin's outlook will remain clouded.

Griffin has entered the league's concussion protocol following Sunday's game against the Vikings, Deepi Sidhu of Texans Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin caught two passes for eight yards prior to exiting Sunday's contest with what was initially termed as a neck injury. It's now known that he suffered a concussion, requiring him to enter the league's protocol. As a result, he won't be able to practice or play until being cleared, but teammate Stephen Anderson's (hamstring) expected Week 6 return at least helps Houston at tight end.

Griffin suffered a neck injury against the Vikings and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
The specifics of his injury are unclear, but Griffin should be considered questionable to play in Week 6. He collected two catches for eight yards across six targets before leaving the game.

Griffin caught three of five targets for 54 yards in the Texans' 27-20 win over the Titans in Week 4. His yardage total was second only to wide receiver Will Fuller.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has garnered more attention in the offense the last two weeks, catching 11 of 15 targets for 106 yards. More encouragingly, it looks like the tight end position is back in Houston's passing attack as both he had C.J. Fiedorowicz combined for seven catches, 10 targets, 102 yards and a touchdown. The incorporation of the position into the game plan coincides with head coach Bill O'Brien taking over the play-calling in Week 4, which bodes well for Griffin and the other tight ends. The one thing to watch going forward is how the inactive Stephen Anderson (hamstring) changes the targeting mix when he's healthy. Anderson was the position-group's leading target during the first two games.
