Griffin caught two of five targets for 13 yards in Houston's 57-14 win over Tennessee in Week 4.
EDGE Analysis
One week after finding chemistry with rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, Griffin was relegated to a minimal role behind Houston's wide receivers. He's still the Texans' top receiving tight end because C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) is on injured reserve, but as the Texans' offense has transformed itself since the dynamic Watson took over, any back or receiver is capable of playing a lead role on offense.

Griffin caught five of six targets for 61 yards and a red-zone touchdown in Houston's 36-33 loss to New England in Week 3.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin, who had missed the previous week due to a concussion, got on the same page quickly with rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson. In addition to the touchdown catch, he made himself available while Watson scrambled away from pressure for a 35-yard reception that led to his touchdown. Griffin will remain the team's leading tight end while C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) remains on injured reserve.

Griffin (concussion) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has passed through the concussion protocol and should be ready to return for Sunday's game in New England. With C.J. Fiedorowicz on injured reserve while recovering from a concussion of his own, Griffin is set to assume a role as the Texans' primary pass-catching tight end. Given the team's lack of depth at wide receiver, Griffin could be busy Week 3.

The Texans are hopeful Griffin (concussion) can return for Week 3 against New England, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
With C.J. Fiedorowicz on injured reserve due to his own concussion, Griffin figures to have a major pass-catching role upon rejoining the team. Given that he caught 50 passes while splitting snaps and targets with Fiedorowicz last season, Griffin could become a useful fantasy option during his teammate's absence, at least in PPR leagues. He's produced just six touchdowns and 10.4 yards per catch on 99 career receptions, with only four gains of more than 25 yards.

The Texans ruled out Griffin (concussion) for Thursday's game at Cincinnati, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin will join C.J. Fiedorowicz (IR, concussion) and Stephen Anderson (concussion) on the inactive list in Week 2, and for as long as each is embedded in the concussion protocol. The Texans only have one healthy tight end (undrafted rookie Evan Baylis) on the 53-man roster, so the passing attack may take a back seat for the foreseeable future, especially with Deshaun Watson under center.

Coach Bill O'Brien expects Griffin (concussion) to miss Thursday's game against the Bengals, the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
With fellow tight ends C.J. Fiedorowicz and Stephen Anderson in the same situation, the Texans will obviously have to fortify their depth at the tight end position in the coming days. Griffin was limited to one target on 10 snaps in Sunday's 29-7 loss to the Jaguars.

Griffin (concussion) won't return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin will have to go through the league's concussion protocol before he is cleared to play again. The Texans play in Cincinnati on Thursday, so the quick short week doesn't help Griffin's case to get back on the field. In the meantime, Stephen Anderson will fill in as the No. 2 tight end.

Griffin left Sunday's game to be evaluated for a concussion, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of the head injury is not yet known meaning that his status for the remainder of the game seems questionable at the moment. Griffin will have the clear the league's concussion protocol before he can get back to the field.

Griffin hauled in both of his catches for 22 yards in Saturday's 13-0 preseason loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
The sure-handed tight end re-signed with the Texans on a three-year deal this past offseason after posting a career-high 50 receptions, and with a first-time starter at quarterback in Tom Savage, he could be in for another productive campaign. Griffin will still slot behind starter C.J. Fiedorowicz, but as both players demonstrated last season, the Texans offense is built to afford plenty of opportunities for the tight end position.

Griffin signed a three-year deal with the Texans on Saturday, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
After catching 49 total passes in his first three seasons, Griffin blew up with 50 grabs in 2016, racking up 442 yards and two touchdowns. He and C.J. Fiedorowicz comprise a promising tight end corps for the Texans. Additionally, Griffin's return will be a significant road block for Stephen Anderson, who saw just 130 snaps as a rookie in 2016.
