Bateman finished the 2023 season with 32 catches for 367 yards and one touchdown on 56 targets.
EDGE Analysis
The bright spot for Bateman was that he was able to stay healthy for most of the season and play a career-high 16 games. Other than that, it was a down season in what was an important year for the former first-round pick. He caught just 57 percent of his targets and had a 7.1 percent drop rate. Bateman was also not a threat after the catch with an average of 2.1 YAC per reception. Quarterback Lamar Jackson averaged 8.0 yards per attempt but Bateman averaged just 6.6 yards per target. Bateman's role was sound with the second-most snaps on the team among receivers, he just wasn't able to draw targets rapidly or convert those targets efficiently. Bateman now enters the final year of his rookie deal with significant pressure to produce. It's also worth noting that the Ravens could look to add a receiver in what is widely considered to be a strong group in the draft.

Bateman recorded three receptions on three targets for 39 yards in Saturday's 34-10 win over the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore dominated the Texans on the ground, limiting its need to take to the air. That led to diminished volume for all of the team's pass catchers, allowing Bateman to finish tied for third on the team in targets. His first catch was his most impactful, as it pushed the Ravens into field-goal range on their first offensive possession. Bateman also tacked on a 21-yard gain in the third quarter, the team's second-longest gain from scrimmage. He's had a disappointing season overall, though Bateman now has multiple catches in four of his last six contests.

Rashod Bateman was not targeted on 27 snaps in Saturday's loss to the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
With Tyler Huntley in at quarterback and Lamar Jackson resting for the postseason, Baltimore's passing game was always going to look different in Week 18. That proved to be true, as running back Justice Hill led the team with twice as many targets (10) as any other Baltimore pass catcher. Huntley averages just 6.1 yards downfield on his throws while Bateman's average depth of target checks in at 14.1 yards, so his routes were not run in areas of the field that Huntley often looks to throw. Prior to Week 18, Bateman had averaged five targets per game over his last five outings, catching 12 of them for 152 yards and no touchdowns. Bateman and the Ravens will be idle this week before returning to action in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Bateman secured four of six targets for 54 yards in the Ravens' 56-19 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Bateman's numbers were not particularly remarkable, but it's worth noting he led the team in targets while checking in second in receptions. The second-year wideout's catch and yardage totals were also season highs, but it remains to be seen if Bateman will have a chance to build on them in Week 18 against the Steelers with Baltimore already having clinched the AFC's top seed.

Bateman caught one of four targets for 14 yards in Monday's 33-19 win over the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Bateman has now been held under 20 receiving yards six times in 14 appearances on the season. He's found the end zone just once and hasn't topped six targets on any occasion, making him a low-upside weekly fantasy option despite being attached to an MVP candidate in quarterback Lamar Jackson. Even with star tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) on injured reserve, Bateman still appears to be a secondary option in a passing attack headlined by rookie Zay Flowers, who drew 13 targets in Week 16.

Bateman caught three of six targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 23-7 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Bateman tied tight end Isaiah Likely for the team lead in targets, while Odell Beckham and Zay Flowers were held to just one catch apiece on five combined targets. The 24-year-old wideout set new season highs in both targets (six) and receiving yards (39). While his uptick in usage was encouraging, Bateman remains stuck on one touchdown heading into a Week 16 matchup with the 49ers.

Bateman caught two of four targets for 24 yards Sunday against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
It continues to be a disappointing season for Bateman as he was out-snapped and out-targeted by Nelson Agholor and was once again held under 30 receiving yards. Bateman has a mere 11 percent target share and is only drawing targets on 17 percent of his routes, which ranks in the 42nd percentile among receivers. To compound the volume issues, Bateman is only catching 55 percent of his targets. His usage has only ticked up slightly since Baltimore had to reconfigure the target distribution in Mark Andrews' absence and the bulk of the passing game is centered on the trio of Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham and Isaiah Likely.

Bateman (illness) practiced fully Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Bateman missed Wednesday's session, but his return to an uncapped practice a day later sets the stage for the wideout to be available for Sunday's game against the Rams. In the Ravens' 20-10 win over the Chargers in Week 12, Bateman caught two of his five targets for 21 yards, continuing a modest rate of production that's yielded him a 22-236-1 receiving line through 11 games this season.

Bateman missed Wednesday's practice with an illness.
EDGE Analysis
Coach John Harbaugh said Bateman may return to practice as soon as Thursday. He'll likely be fine for Sunday's game against the Rams, with Odell Beckham and Nelson Agholor the top candidates for added playing time in the unlikely event Bateman doesn't end up playing.
