Mike Wallace caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 24-20 Week 9 win over the Giants.
Wallace made the play of the day early in the fourth quarter, taking a quick slant 51 yards to the house. After catching the ball maybe 4-5 yards past the line of scrimmage, Wallace turned on the jets in awe-inspiring fashion, leaving every Giants' defensive back in the dust as he switched fields and blazed down the sideline. CBS' Phil Simms opined it may have been the fastest he's ever seen anyone run in an NFL game. With 50 percent of the season now in the books, Wallace is on pace for 78 catches, 1,050 yards and 10 touchdowns. Those numbers are slightly off his 2011 pace, but he remains locked in as a high-end WR2. Perhaps OC Todd Haley will open up his "dink and dunk" offense in the second half.

Mike Wallace says he's run eight "go" routes this season compared to nearly five per game a year ago.
"I used to go deep a lot last year, until eventually I was just clearing it out for AB and Hines," said Wallace. "Now, I haven't really gone much deep ... I don't think we're just going to go short the whole year. I think we'll eventually open it up and, whenever we do, we'll be ready for it." Ben Roethlisberger has described OC Todd Haley's offense as "dink and dunk" compared to Bruce Arians' more wide open scheme.

Ben Roethlisberger confirmed he won't shy away from Mike Wallace despite Sunday night's case of the dropsies.
Wallace was credited with four drops against the Bengals, but we can chalk it up as a fluke. During his first three NFL seasons, he only dropped 2.9 percent of his targets and never dropped more than four balls in an entire season. Look for Wallace to bounce back in a big way in Week 8 against the Redskins' league-worst secondary.

Mike Wallace caught two passes for 94 yards and a touchdown in the Steeelers' Week 6 loss to the Titans on Thursday.
Wallace was targeted just four times on the night, but he capitalized on one 82-yard bomb in the first quarter where he beat Titans CB Jason McCourty down the sideline for the score. The high yardage total and low catch number is a classic game from "60 Minutes." The Steelers travel to Cincinnati to take on their division rival in Week 7. The Bengals are a bit banged up in the secondary and they don't possess much speed, so it could develop into a big day for Wallace.

Mike Wallace dropped three passes in Sunday's Week 5 win over the Eagles.
Wallace was behind the Eagles secondary in the second half and dropped easy one. He ended up with just two catches for 17 yards. It's a good time to "buy low" here if owners are just looking at the box score.

Mike Wallace was targeted on five different routes during the Week 3 loss to the Raiders.
Wallace isn't just a straight-line speedster. He's been running a full route tree for a couple years now and he put it all on display last week. He ran dig routes, slants, screens, deep ins and fly patterns, racking up a 8/123/1 line. Despite missing the majority of camp, Wallace has racked up 17 catches on 22 targets and scored three touchdowns so far.

Mike Wallace caught eight passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' loss to the Raiders in Week 3.
Wallace was targeted a team-high 12 times on the day and caught his touchdown on a 22-yard strike in the back of the end zone after he was left wide open. So much for that slow start that was expected after a long holdout. Wallace has looked as fast as ever in the season's first three weeks. The Steelers have a Week 4 bye before hosting the Eagles in Week 5.

Mike Wallace (probable, groin) and Emmanuel Sanders (probable, knee) both practiced in full Friday.
They should both be all systems go against a Raiders defense that has already lost both starting cornerbacks for extended periods of time. Wallace should be locked into fantasy lineups. Sanders is worth a look as a WR4.

Steelers WRs Mike Wallace (groin) and Emmanuel Sanders (knee) returned to practice with full participation on Thursday.
This was fully expected, as the Steelers were apparently just using Wednesday as a day of rest for both players. Rotoworld ranks Wallace 21st among fantasy receivers against the Raiders' patch-work cornerbacks.

Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders were held out of Wednesday's practice.
Neither player was known to be hurt in Sunday's win, so it's likely just a day of rest. We'll know more on Thursday, but for now assume both players will be ready to roll against the Raiders' makeshift secondary.
