Sanchez (illness) is not on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Saints, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whatever issues Sanchez was dealing with that held him out of Thursday's practice look to be behind him. He'll once again serve as the Bears' No. 3 option at quarterback.

Sanchez was absent from Thursday's practice due to an illness, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez is reportedly dealing with the flue, so the team decided it was best he stayed home for the day. The veteran back up quarterback remains third on the Bears' depth chart.

Sanchez has recovered from a neck injury and was a full participant at practice Thursday, Adam Hoge of WGN Radio 720 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez did not practice on Wednesday, so this is a good sign the injury was a minor issue. The veteran quarterback remains third on the Bears' depth chart and is likely to be inactive on game days unless Mike Glennon or Mitch Trubisky sustain an injury.

Sanchez (coach's decision) is inactive for the Bears' Week 1 matchup Sunday against the Falcons, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Sanchez will open the season as the No. 3 quarterback on the Bears' depth chart, with rookie Mitchell Trubisky slated to serve as the top backup to starter Mike Glennon. Sanchez is unlikely to suit up on gamedays in 2017 unless one of Glennon or Trubisky is ruled out with an injury.

Sanchez completed both of his pass attempts for 23 yards Saturday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez was on the field briefly as the second-string quarterback and although he started moving the Bears offense, a bad snap on a third-down play resulted in the drive being aborted. As long as the team leaves Mike Glennon in as a starter, Sanchez will likely continue to serve as the backup while Mitch Trubisky is groomed to eventually take over as the first-string quarterback.

Sanchez completed one of four passes for four yards Thursday against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez played for a short time during the second quarter, and had a pair of passes dropped, keeping him from being able to move the team down the field. He's been serving as the second-string quarterback throughout training camp, and he was utilized as such in this contest. Unless the team changes their stance on Mitch Trubisky's status as the third-stringer, Sanchez would likely be the starter should Mike Glennon missed time due to injury.

Sanchez (knee) will enter training camp as the backup quarterback to Mike Glennon, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson reported this after general manager Ryan Pace made this statement during the team's first press conference of training camp. With first-round draft choice Mitch Trubisky having made just 13 starts at the collegiate level, it appears the organization is committed to letting the rookie learn on the job while being buried on the depth chart while Sanchez serves as Mike Glennon's direct backup.

Sanchez injured his knee in OTAs Tuesday but is expected back by training camp, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury is reportedly nothing major, but it will keep Connor Shaw on the roster for now, after it was rumored he was released earlier this morning. Look for more updates to come once training camp rolls around. With the rumors of Shaw's release, it appears the Bears have solidified their quarterback depth chart, comprised of Sanchez, Mike Glennon and rookie Mitchell Trubisky. However, that could change if Sanchez's knee continues to be an issue.

Sanchez signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Thursday, ESPN's Jeff Dickerson reports.
EDGE Analysis
After visiting with team officials Wednesday, Sanchez and the Bears finalized a one-year deal with the veteran late Thursday. The Bears gave Mike Glennon a multi-year deal earlier in the offseason, so Sanchez's arrival in Chicago is primarily to add depth behind the former Buccaneer. Sanchez served as Dak Prescott's backup in Dallas last season and appeared in two games, completing 10-of-18 passes for 93 yards and two interceptions.

Sanchez is expected to sign with the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran signal caller had a successful meeting with the Bears on Wednesday and it appears the two sides are working towards finalizing a deal. Given that the Bears inked former Buccaneer Mike Glennon to a hefty, multi-year deal earlier in the offseason, Sanchez would presumably be signing to be Chicago's backup. Sanchez appeared in two games with the Cowboys in relief of Dak Prescott last season, completing 10-of-18 passes for 93 yards with two interceptions.
