Landry has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2015 season due to a PED violation. Landry was released by the Colts in February, and now it will probably be tougher to find a new team. The violation is his second in as many seasons, resulting in the longer penalty. At the age of 30, it wouldn't be surprising if Landry winds up without work in 2015, though teams could come calling later in the season if injuries surface as they inevitably due.

The Colts have released Landry, the team's official site reports.Landry -- who was suspended four games (Weeks 5-8) this past season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances -- ended up with 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 11 games for the Colts overall. With the 30-year-old Landry cut loose and Mike Adams and Sergio Brown both slated to hit free agency, the composition of the Colts' safety corps remains fluid in advance of the 2015 season.

Landry will start this week against Denver, the RTV 6 in Indianapolis reports. Landry had four total tackles in last week's playoff win over the Bengals and got more playing time than Sergio Brown. Landry had lost the job to Brown midseason after he was suspended for four games for PEDs.

Landry played just 19 snaps on defense, but had five total tackles, 1.5 sacks and a tackle for a loss in Sunday's win over Jacksonville. He's lost the starting strong safety role to Sergio Brown, but outperformed him in the win. He could get more snaps on defense next week as a result.

Landry will work as the backup to Sergio Brown at free safety this week against New England, the Indianapolis Star reports. It's not clear if this is just because the Colts are easing Landry back into action after a five game layoff due to his suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs, or if he's permanently lost his starting job. Either way, Landry isn't much of an IDP option as a reserve.

Landry was activated from the commissioner's exempt list Tuesday. Landry was previously suspended for four games after violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, but he also missed Monday's game versus the Giants, extending his sideline spell a bit. Now activated, Landry will be eligible to play in Sunday's top-heavy tussle versus the Patriots, when he'll hope to reclaim his starting free safety position from Sergio Brown.

Landry, who is on the exempt/commissioner's permission list, will not play Monday, the Indianapolis Star reports. Landry missed the last four games due to a suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs. He was able to practice this week, but the Colts apparently don't think he's ready to play in a game.

Landry's four-game suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs ended Monday, but he didn't show up at the team facility and was placed on the exempt/commissioner's permission list, ESPN reports. "Giving us time to work through roster mechanics and then getting him back in the building and seeing where he's at from a physical standpoint, get his sea legs back under him so to speak," coach Chuck Pagano said. "It gives us roughly a week to see exactly where he's at." It's' an odd move from the Colts as it's not clear if Landry is in hot water with the team or if the team is just trying to figure out a roster move to clear space for him. It was assumed Landry would take back his starting safety spot when his suspension ended, but now his role for next week is unclear.

Landry has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports. With Landry unavailable for the team's next four games, the Colts have added fellow safety Dewey McDonald to their active roster.

Landry had eight total tackles and one quarterback hit in Sunday's win over St. Louis. Landry should pile up strong total tackles as the backstop of Indy's defense, but the larger question remains if he can stay healthy. He missed four games in 2013 and has missed 19 games the past three seasons due to injury.
