Bostic was dealt to the Patriots on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bostic missed the first three games of the season due to a high-ankle sprain, but with the Bears going winless in those outings, the organization decided to jettison both Bostic and Jared Allen (to Carolina). In New England, expect Bostic to serve in a reserve role to starting middle linebacker Jerod Mayo.

Bostic (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bostic suffered an ankle injury towards the end of August and hasn't been able to recover enough to get on the field --- he's now slated to miss back-to-back games. With Christian Jones locking down the inside linebacker position, Bostic will have a tough time gaining IDP relevance when, or if, he returns healthy.

Bostic (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bostic's absence won't be felt in IDP formats, as Christian Jones took over the spot at inside linebacker next to Shea McClellin over the course of the offseason.

Bostic (ankle) has been deemed questionable to play in Sunday's season opener against the Packers, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bostic has been hampered by an ankle injury recently, putting his status up in the air for Week 1. While Bostic's status probably won't be confirmed one way or the other until closer to Sunday's kickoff, the Bears defense will surely hope to have Bostic available to provide needed depth against the Packers' high-powered offense this weekend.

Bostic was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury.
EDGE Analysis
The ankle had been bothering Bostic late in training camp and puts his status in some question for the Week 1 opener against the Packers. Bostic is slated to serve as the top backup at both of the middle linebacker spots this season.

Bostic sat out Monday's practice with an ankle injury, ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of the injury isn't known, but it won't help Bostic's bid to claim a starting job out of training camp. Christian Jones remains listed ahead of Bostic on the depth chart at one of the inside linebacker spots.

Bostic has been sitting out the Bears' entire offseason program thus far due to a back issue, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Coach John Fox said he expects Bostic to be ready to go for training camp in July, so the injury probably shouldn't be viewed as anything especially serious. However, the missed action with the new coaching staff may put him behind Christian Jones in their competition for one of the starting spots at inside linebacker.

Bostic totaled 83 tackles in 13 games with the Bears last season.
While Bostic failed to force any turnovers or register any sacks, he turned in some useful tackle totals after injuries to Lance Briggs, D.J. Williams and Shea McClellin forced into starting roles at multiple linebacker spots over the course of the regular season. While his skill set would seem best suited for a spot on the weakside, Bostic's sideline-to-sideline speed should help him rank among the Bears' leaders in tackles no matter where he plays in 2015. As the roster currently stands, Bostic appears to be in good position to open next season in a starting role, but new GM Ryan Pace could look to upgrade the team's linebacking corps through the draft and/or free agency.

Bostic collected eight total tackles in Monday's loss to the Saints.
Moving from the outside to the middle for Monday's game, Bostic didn't see much of a dropoff in his production. He's registered 26 stops over the past three games and figures to see heavy snap counts over the final two weeks while D.J. Williams and Lance Briggs remain on injured reserve.

Bostic will receive the start at middle linebacker in the Bears' Week 15 game against the Saints, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.
With D.J. Williams (neck) landing on injured reserve, Bostic will move over from his more natural position on the weakside, where he had been filling in for the injured Lance Briggs. Bostic has started at all three linebacker spots this season, but has clearly played his best football on the weakside, where he can better take advantage of his quickness in space. As a result, he might not notice a rise in his tackle count despite the move to the typically more IDP-friendly position.
