Bostic recorded seven tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
It was Bostic's first interception of the season and just the second of his six-year career. With 72 tackles on the season, the Florida product needs just two more to pass last year's total.

Bostic made eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Bostic and Cole Holcomb are tied for second among the Redskins with 44 tackles this season, trailing only Landon Collins. He continues to get a large snap share, so he'll look to keep it going in Week 7 against the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis
Bostic played all but six defensive snaps Sunday and has come on strong the last few weeks after recording only two assisted tackles in the season opener. The 28-year-old has 29 tackles (13 solo) through four games, which ranks second behind Landon Collins on the Redskins' defense.

Bostic is calling plays for the Washington defense, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Redskins signed Bostic in late May, shortly after Reuben Foster suffered a season-ending knee injury. The team then cut Mason Foster in July, leaving Bostic to compete with a bunch of young players -- Shaun Dion Hamilton (chest), Josh Harvey-Clemons, Cole Holcomb -- for snaps at inside linebacker. The 28-year-old didn't take long to lock down a starting job, with his role as the defensive play caller hinting at a three-down workload to come. Bostic thus has an opportunity for his first pro season with triple-digit tackles, following a 2018 campaign in Pittsburgh with 73 tackles across 560 defensive snaps and 145 special teams snaps.

Bostic took the first snap at inside linebacker at training camp Thursday, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Washington having cut Mason Foster earlier this week and Reuben Foster (knee) set to miss the entire 2019 season, Bostic has plenty of opportunity before him. The 28-year-old will compete with Shaun Dion Hamilton, Josh Harvey-Clemons and Cole Holcomb for playing time during training camp, and could conceivably secure a starting job if he impresses. Bostic notched 73 tackles (46 solo), 2.5 sacks and 3 passes defended across 16 games with the Steelers in 2018.

Bostic signed a contract with the Redskins on Wednesday, Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The terms of Bostic's deal aren't clear, but he may have come cheap after Pittsburgh just cut him one year into a two-year, $4 million pact. The 28-year-old registered 73 tackles, 2.5 sacks and three pass breakups over 16 games last season, but his pace noticeably fell down the stretch and he was apparently deemed expendable when the Steelers landed Devin Bush in the first round of the draft. He'll need to fend off Shaun Dion Hamilton and fifth-round rookie Cole Holcolm for snaps beside Mason Foster, but someone needs to replace the loss of Reuben Foster (knee), who was supposed to be the replacement for Zach Brown. Brown averaged 112.5 tackles in his two seasons with Washington from 2017 and 2018, also notching 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 29 games.

Bostic was released by the Steelers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The move isn't overly surprising after the Steelers traded up to draft Devin Bush with the 10th pick during the first round of Thursday's draft. Bostic also played a reduced role down the stretch for the Steelers, so it seems as though he fell out of favor with the coaching staff. The veteran linebacker will spend the 2019 season with his fifth different team in the last five years.

Bostic failed to record any tackles during Sunday's 16-13 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
After averaging 45 defensive snaps per game the first 11 games of the season Bostic's playing time took a huge hit, averaging just 13 defensive snaps for each of the last five games. This culminated with a season low six snaps in the season finale. Playing in all 16 games, Bostic finished the 2018 season with 73 tackles including 2.5 sacks -- the most he has had in one season over his six-year career. There is no explanation for the decline in playing time as the season progressed and he has one year remaining on his current contract.
