Levy totaled four tackles and one defended pass in the Lions' 39-35 victory over the Colts on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Levy once again performed well in coverage, but wasn't as involved in the tackle department as we are used to seeing. In 2014, his last fully-healthy season, Levy reached double-digit tackle numbers 11 times and never posted four tackles or less in any of the others. In fact, you have to go back to Week 15 of 2012 to find a game in which Levy accumulated such underwhelming tackle totals. Point being, consider Week 1 an exhibition game of sorts, as Levy missed the entire preseason recovering from injury, and expect the Wisconsin product to churn out more respectable stat lines moving forward. Up next, Detroit will square off against Tennessee in Week 2.

Levy did not appear on the Lions' injury report Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy was limited to just 17 snaps in 2015 due to a preseason hip injury, and then suffered a knee injury in the offseason. Now fully healthy, his return will help fortify a Detroit defense that finished 23rd in points allowed last year. Case in point, during his last fully healthy season, Levy led the Lions and tied for second in the league with 151 total tackles.

Levy (undisclosed) was removed from the Non-Football Injury list on Tuesday morning, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While technically now available to practice, Levy won't necessarily do so Tuesday. He did suggest that he hopes to play in at least one preseason game, but the real goal will be to have him ready for Week 1. Even after missing all of last season with a hip injury and the first three weeks of training camp with an undisclosed issue, Levy possesses an IDP ceiling that's among the best in the league. Few linebackers possess a similar combination of run-stopping and coverage skills.

Lions GM Bob Quinn expects Levy (undisclosed) to return soon, the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quinn is now the latest Lions spokesman to decline to specify what type of injury Levy is dealing with, but the team hasn't expressed any concern over Levy's long-term health. However, head coach Jim Caldwell has downplayed the need to see Levy play in preseason games, as the Lions have little to gain by rushing him back into action and risk exposing him to re-injury, especially since linebacker remains one of Detroit's thinnest positions. Offseason-acquisition Jon Bostic is taking the first-team reps in Levy's absence.

Levy is progressing from an undisclosed injury according to head coach Jim Caldwell, Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy was placed on the active/non-football injury list heading into training camp, and the team has yet to indicate what the problem is. When healthy, he projects to be team's best linebacker, but he only managed to play one game last season. However, in his six seasons prior with the club he was never considered injury prone. Caldwell has also indicated seeing Levy in the preseason is not a priority for the team.

Levy (undisclosed) has been placed on the active/non-football injury list to begin training camp, MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy's injury has not yet been disclosed, but it could be a concerning development for the Lions. The veteran is clearly Detroit's best linebacker when healthy, but played merely 17 snaps last season due to a lingering hip problem that required surgery. After being an active member in the Lions' offseason program, Levy was seemingly poised for a training camp return, making Friday's news rather curious and warranting of attention going forward.

Levy (hip) "shows no signs of the hip injury that limited him", Mike O'Hara of the Lion's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy was seen running stride-for-stride with TE Eric Ebron, and evidently appears to be be nearing his 2014 form. That season, Levy racked up 117 solo tackles - 16 more than anyone else - and finished second in the league in total tackles (only behind Luke Kuechly). Should Levy make a full recovery and maneuver through the rest of the offseason without any setbacks, he will undoubtedly re-bolster a Lions defense that finished 19th in the league against the run in 2015.

Levy (hip) claims "he has no concerns about how his body will hold up and that he is ready to go," ESPN's Michael Rothstein reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy logged the second-highest tally of tackles across the NFL in 2014, signed a four-year, $33 million extension the following offseason, and proceeded to play just 17 snaps in 2015 due to a hip injury. Now at full strength, the former Wisconsin Badger will be welcomed back with open arms. Sans Levy in 2015, Detroit surrendered the 18th-ranked defense. However, in 2014, with Levy manning the middle, the unit allowed nearly 800 fewer yards and positioned themselves as the second-ranked defense in the entire NFL.

Levy (hip) is expected to be fully healthy by training camp, NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Levy is coming off a season in which he was limited to merely 17 snaps due to a hip injury that required surgery in October. After spending so much time out, Levy returned for the start of the Lions offseason workouts last month and has reportedly looked good in the process. As Levy continues to increase his workload, he's expected to be fully healthy by training camp, which would represent a needed boost to a Lions defense that faltered without him last season.

Levy (hip) participated in the the Lions' first set of offseason workouts, which began on Monday, the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear if Levy, who played just 16 snaps last year, will be cleared to take part in football drills next month, on the plus side, the linebacker -- who racked up an IDP-friendy 151 tackles in 2014 -- maintains that his recovery from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip has been "going great."
