The Dolphins are simply taking things slow with their rookie feature back, who escaped Monday night's loss to the Jets without further injury to his troublesome hamstring. He will be active against the Broncos' bottom-10 run defense this weekend, and is Rotoworld's 14th ranked running back for Week 7.

Daniel Thomas confirmed he did not aggravate his hamstring injury in Monday night's loss to the Jets. Thomas conceded that he's not quite at 100 percent just yet, but said he's ready to take on a larger workload. With Reggie Bush (neck, groin) banged up, Thomas will likely get his wish. The Dolphins host the Broncos and their No. 23 rush defense this week, placing the rookie on the RB2/flex radar.

Box score readers might see the 3.1 yards per carry average and assume the worst, but he ran effectively tonight, making defenders miss while showing good all-around skills. His hamstring did not appear to effect him at all, either. Despite a 7.1 yards per carry mark from Reggie Bush, who exited the game due to a neck injury, there is no question who the team's lead back is. Yes, there are questions about the direction of the Dolphins' offense, but Thomas is definitely someone to target in a 'buy low' deal.

Daniel Thomas (hamstring) is active for Monday Night Football against the Jets. As is LBC Vontae Davis (hamstring). According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly, Thomas is "expected to play," so it sounds like he should be running with relatively little restriction.

Barring an unexpected setback in warmups, we are fully expecting Thomas to start tonight. His workload, however, is uncertain as he's at less than 100 percent and the Dolphins have been getting Lex Hilliard more practice reps. We'll know more as the day moves along.

Thomas will almost certainly be active on Monday, it's just unclear how effective he might be after reportedly looking "tentative" during practice this week. The good news is he will be facing a suddenly soft Jets' run defense, and has gone for at least 95 yards both times he's been active this season. He's Rotoworld's No. 17 ranked running back this week.

Daniel Thomas (hamstring) was limited in Friday's practice. The Dolphins' final injury report comes out on Saturday because they play the Jets on Monday Night Football. Thomas has been practicing since the Week 5 bye, so we suspect he will be able to play. We'll know more tomorrow.

Thomas was limited Thursday, but he has an extra day to ramp up to full participation with the Monday night game. He's safe to plug as a RB2 for now.
