Culliver was released by the Dolphins on Saturday, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Culliver was just recently activated off Miami's PUP list but didn't suit up for his first game back, last Sunday against the Chargers. Assuming his knee injury isn't an issue anymore, don't be surprised if Culliver latches on with another organization before season's end.

Culliver (knee) will not be activated to the 53-man roster for Sunday's tilt with the Jets, barring a major turnaround, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. "He's not totally ready to play an NFL game yet," Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said.
EDGE Analysis
Culliver is practicing for the second straight week, leaving him just one more week to be activated to the active roster. Joseph said the safety will be closer to playing in Week 10's tilt with the Chargers, although nothing is for certain at this point. Culliver (knee) said he feels ready to be added to the Dolphins' active roster, James Walker of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Culliver remains on the PUP list as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL and MCL he suffered last November. Nearly a year later, the cornerback feels ready to return to the field, although a final decision on when he can play will come from the coaching staff. If fully healed, Culliver could help the Dolphins' defensive backfield and would expect to compete for backup role behind starters Byron Maxwell and Tony Lippett.
