If neither Cooks nor Danny Amendola (knee) can go Sunday against the Colts but Conley plays, he could see a substantial number of targets due to a lack of alternatives.

The Texans didn't hold a formal practice, but Conley wouldn't have participated had the team done so. The veteran wide receiver has been receiving ample playing time, but it hasn't translated to much production up to this point. Along with Conley, fellow pass-catchers Brandin Cooks (illness) and Danny Amendola (knee) were also non-participants.

Conley was not targeted among his 29 snaps in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Jets.

Conley finished third in playing time among the wide receivers, but it did not translate into targets. Once again, 36-year-old Danny Amendola (five targets, three catches) was a bigger factor for the Texans, who rank 31st in passing offense with 186.5 yards per game and 26th in attempts. Conley has 14 catches on 22 targets for 233 yards and one touchdown over 11 games.

Conley caught four of five targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 22-13 win over Tennessee.

Conley led the wide receiver group in targets, catches and yards, as the Titans focused on stopping Brandin Cooks (two catches, three targets). Since the start of the season, Conley's role has slipped while Cooks and rookie Nico Collins have become the primary targets. Sunday's production leaves Conley with 14 catches (22 targets) and one touchdown through 10 games.

Conley was one of nine receivers targeted in the first game back for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Since a big game against New England in Week 5, when he caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, the seventh-year wideout has only four catches for 72 yards over the last four games.

After being limited by the calf injury at Wednesday's practice, Conley was fully involved during Thursday's session, clearing the way for him to play this weekend against the Dolphins. The Texans are expected to get top quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) back from injured reserve this weekend to step back into the starting role in place of rookie Davis Mills, but the change under center likely won't dramatically improve Conley's outlook. Conley hasn't drawn more than four targets in any of his seven appearances this season.

Conley was previously dealing with a neck injury, and it's unknown when he picked up the calf injury. Getting in a limited practice this early in the week is a positive sign for his availability Sunday against the Dolphins. If Conley was unable to play Sunday Chris Moore would likely take on a larger role.

As is fellow WR Nico Collins (foot), which sets the stage for Collins, Conley and Chris Moore to contend for outside snaps opposite top option Brandin Cooks, while Danny Amendola mans the slot for Houston. With Davis Mills drawing another start at QB versus 6-0 Arizona, Conley, who has compiled a 7/134/1 stat line through six games, profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy lineup option in Week 7.
