After being listed as limited for Wednesday's walk-through session, Conley didn't take a notable step forward in terms of activity a day later. That being said, the Texans haven't indicated that Conley has suffered any sort of setback with the lingering knee issue, which has resulted in him being included on the injury report for the second straight week. He played through the health concern in last week's win over the Chargers, finishing with three receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Take this designation with a grain of salt, since the Texans merely held a walkthrough. Conley's name has frequently appeared on injury reports due to this knee injury, but it hasn't caused him to miss game action. With Davis Mills playing well under center for Houston, Conley will have some appeal as a flier in deeper formats against the 49ers in Week 17, assuming he suits up. Conley scored his second touchdown of the year in last week's win over the Chargers.

Conley was forced into a more substantial role in the offense due to the absence of Brandin Cooks (illness). Conley added an 18-yard catch to deliver on a big-play role in Houston's offense. If Cooks is unable to clear COVID-19 protocols in time for a Week 17 matchup against San Francisco, Conley could be in line for another productive performance.

Barring a setback Friday, Conley will be on the field Sunday against the Chargers. Even with quarterback Davis Mills showing some promise under center in recent weeks, the Texans' passing game has struggled outside of No. 1 wide receiver Brandin Cooks, but both Conley and rookie Nico Collins could get more opportunities against the Chargers if Cooks doesn't return from the reserve/COVID-19 list by then.

Conley tied rookie Nico Collins for second-most targets behind Brandin Cooks, who remains the clear top option among Houston wide receivers. An interesting wrinkle has developed, however, with Phillip Dorsett now in the mix. Dorsett has been targeted six times in two games since joining Houston's active roster, and the newcomer finished second on the team with 43 yards Sunday.

Conley caught both of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 33-13 loss to the Seahawks.

EDGE Analysis

Conley finished third among wide receivers in playing time (46 snaps) but was held under 40 receiving yards for the 12th time in 13 games. Outside of a big week against New England in Week 5, Conley has done little to help fantasy teams. Beyond Brandin Cooks and rookie Nico Collins, there's little to inspire fantasy managers evaluating Houston's wideouts.

Conley did not catch any of his four targets in Sunday's 31-0 loss to Indianapolis.

EDGE Analysis

Conley failed to make a catch for the second consecutive week and for the fifth time in 12 contests overall. He played 30 of 52 snaps (58 percent), which is about his season average (60 percent), so he did not receive a bump in playing time with Danny Amendola (knee) sidelined. That should be expected considering Amendola is a slot receiver while Conley plays mostly on the outside.

Conley (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.

EDGE Analysis

Conley is out there if you need him Sunday, but even with Danny Amendola (knee) on IR, he profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy option, with Brandin Cooks still the best bet among Houston's wideouts to garner enough volume to merit lineup consideration.
