The Texans released Conley on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conley is an experienced starter who ran with the first-team offense this preseason, though he might've been with the backups if the Texans hadn't been resting top receiver Brandin Cooks. The team likely saves some money and cap space by going with a younger guy instead of Conley, assuming the veteran isn't re-signed in the coming days. Chris Moore could be Houston's No. 3 receiver behind Cooks and Nico Collins to start the season.

Conley is off to a strong start at training camp, John Harris of the Texans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris notes Conley has been difficult for defensive backs to cover in one-on-one matchups and is making catches at every level. He was also featured extensively during Houston's two-minute drill Tuesday, reaching high and behind him on a fourth-down catch to extend the drive. Conley had the fifth-most targets for the Texans in 2021 and was headed for a similar fate in 2022, but the uncertain status of rookie John Metchie (illness) plus Danny Amendola's retirement reshuffled the depth chart behind Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Conley is in the mix to be the team's primary slot receiver this season.

Conley (knee) signed a one-year contract with the Texans on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conley's first year in Houston was hardly a success as the veteran wide receiver saw a dramatic drop in opportunities after two years as the Jaguars' deep threat. Part of that could simply be due to the Texans' putrid passing offense, but it's hard to have much optimism for Conley's future given the 28-year-old set a four-year low in both receptions and receiving yards.

Conley (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Conley was questionable for Sunday's contest due to the knee injury and will be sidelined for the final game of the season. The 29-year-old finished 2021 with 22 receptions for 323 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games as he's set to return to free agency during the offseason.

Conley (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
For a third straight week, Conley has tended to a knee injury. Only this time, it didn't allow him to practice at all Wednesday through Friday. The Texans my be preparing to be without Conley in the season finale, which won't be confirmed until 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Aside from Conley, Chris Moore (illness) also is questionable after putting in a limited session Friday, leaving Brandin Cooks, Nico Collins and Danny Amendola as the the healthiest wide receivers on Houston's active roster.

Conley (knee) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conley also missed Wednesday's session, so what the wideout is able to do Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up for Sunday's season finale against the Titans. In Houston's Week 17 loss to the 49ers, Conley logged 49 of a possible 67 snaps on offense, while catching one of his two targets for minus-2 yards and carrying once for three yards.

Conley (knee) was estimated as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report.
EDGE Analysis
Conley has played through the knee injury the past few weeks, and his limited estimation Wednesday indicates he's on track to do so again for the season finale. He has 22 receptions for 323 yards and two touchdowns through 16 games this season.

Conley caught one of two targets for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 23-7 loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Conley fought through knee issues during the practice week and had a limited impact in the game despite being on the field for 49 snaps. The playing time was second only to top wideout Brandin Cooks, who returned to active duty after missing one game while on the reserve/COVID-19 list and gobbled up 11 of the 18 passes aimed at wide receivers. Conley has been in Cooks' shadow all season, with two or fewer catches in 13 of 16 games played.

Conley (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Though Conley, who caught all three of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in last weekend's win over the Chargers, should remain a factor in the Texans passing attack, the team's target leader Brandin Cooks is back from the reserve/COVID-19 list. With that in mind, Conley - who is averaging 21.7 receiving yards per game to date -- profiles as speculative Week 17 fantasy lineup option.

Conley (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers after practicing in a limited fashion this past week.
EDGE Analysis
Conley caught all three targets of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in last weekend's win over the Chargers. With Houston target leader Brandin Cooks having since been restored from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Conley profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy option if he's active Sunday.
