Barton will return to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nuggets are still dealing with a slew of injuries, but they've opted to go with a bigger lineup Wednesday that will feature Jameer Nelson, Gary Harris, Juancho Hernangomez, Mason Plumlee and Nikola Jokic. That said, despite the move to the bench, Barton is still in line to pick up a significant amount of minutes with injuries still piled up. Barton had a fantastic showing during Monday's start, posting 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, so he likely earned another shot at a hefty workload and can still be expected to have solid production off the bench.

Barton will rejoin the starting five for Monday's game against the Warriors, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nuggets are dealing with a slew of injuries Monday, including the likes of Danilo Gallinari (groin), Wilson Chandler (illness), Kenneth Faried (ankle), Emmanuel Mudiay (back) and Darrell Arthur (knee). That leaves only nine active bodies available for the Nuggets, so Barton should pick up a ton of minutes while working with the top unit. Barton has posted some big lines while seeing extended minutes this season and will likely be a great DFS play in the short term while the Nuggets are still short on depth.

Barton provided 15 points (6-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks across 34 minutes during Friday's 131-123 victory over the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Despite coming off the bench, Barton logged 34 minutes and responded by pulling down a season-high 10 rebounds and sending back two shots, which ties his season high. While he shot a poor 6-of-15 from the field, he carried his weight in other ways, and was ultimately a part of the Nuggets' winning effort. The 26-year-old is also shooting a career-high 38.5 percent from behind the arc this year on 3.6 attempts per game. That being said, he only sees 28.6 minutes per game and largely benefits when guys ahead of him in the rotation miss time, limiting his fantasy upside.

Barton scored 17 points (6-19 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 5-7 FT) whiled adding seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks across 38 minutes in Wednesday's 117-106 loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Although he was moved to the bench prior to Wednesday's matchup, Barton still received starter's minutes and outplayed the man who took his spot, Kenneth Faried. While he did play more, he was far from efficient shooting, especially from beyond the arc. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes Faried to work his minutes back up and resume his role as the starter, because as that happens, Barton's production will diminish.

Barton is expected to come off the bench in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nuggets coach Michael Malone announced that Kenneth Faried (personal) would return from a one-game absence to reclaim his starting role at power forward, so Wilson Chandler will presumably shift over to small forward, dropping Barton back to a sixth-man role. The demotion won't make Barton as appealing of a DFS commodity after he exploded for 31 points, eight boards, five assists and two blocks in 37 minutes during Monday's win over the Mavericks, but the swingman should be in line for a sizable role off the bench with the Nuggets still down two key contributors in Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Emmanuel Mudiay (back).

Barton finished with 31 points (12-18 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots over 37 minutes in Monday's 110-87 win against the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
The stat line was a huge surprise for fantasy owners, as Barton entered the game with a total of just 43 points over his past six outings (7.2 PPG). Barton has been a streaky shooter all season, and he remains useful only in the deepest of formats at this point. Barton's 37 minutes were his most since the beginning of December, as he saw a larger role with Kenneth Faried (personal) sidelined.

Barton will draw the start at small forward for Monday's tilt against the Mavericks, Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Kenneth Faried (personal) out, Will Barton will draw the start at small forward while Wilson Chandler slides to power forward. Over the past seven games, Barton is averaging 8.7 points on 43.4 percent shooting, 3.9 assists, and 3.0 rebounds across 24.6 minutes per game.

Barton (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs, Adam Mares of DenverStiffs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton returned from a two-game absence in Friday's win over the Bucks. He recorded nine points, two rebounds, four assits, two steals, and three triples across 25 minutes. No setbacks were reported, and his listing on the injury report appears to be more of a formality at this point. He appears on track to play and take on his usual workload Saturday.

Barton (ankle) returned to the court and went for nine points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four assists, two rebounds and two steals across 25 minutes during a 121-117 win over the Bucks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After a two-game absence, Barton struggled with his shot but received an encouraging 25 minutes. He will likely struggle to post big numbers as long as the team's backcourt is healthy, but if Danilo Gallinari (groin) misses more time, Barton could see a slight uptick in minutes. We'll see if he manages to register better numbers against the Spurs on Saturday.

Barton (ankle) will play Friday against the Bucks, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton missed the past two contests due to an ankle injury but will return to the court Friday night. The guard averaged just over 25 minutes a contest in January, but could see his minutes restricted Friday as he gets back into the swing of things. Look for Barton to split time off the bench with rookie Jamal Murray, who has been averaging 13.7 points in 27 minutes a contest over the past three games.
