Barton (illness) will play in Tuesday's matchup against the Lakers, Nuggets' announcer Jason Kosmicki reports.
EDGE Analysis
This status does not come as a surprise, as Barton was listed as probable for the contest. He figures to see a healthy workload with Gary Harris ruled out for the contest. He notched 11 points, three assists, a steal, and a triple across 24 minutes in Monday's win over the Magic.

Barton (illness) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nuggets also listed Barton as probable ahead of Monday's 125-112 win over the Magic, but he ended up playing 24 minutes and contributing 11 points, three assists and one steal in the contest. More notable than Barton's performance was the fact that starting shooting guard Gary Harris exited in the first quarter of the contest with a sprained ankle and is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game. Barton had previously served as Harris' main replacement in the starting five when Harris missed time with groin and foot injuries, and seemingly represents the leading candidate to start Tuesday, assuming the illness doesn't prevent Barton from playing in the second half of the back-to-back set.

Barton is dealing with an illness but is expected to play Monday against Orlando, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
The illness apparently isn't overly severe, as all indications are that Barton will be available in his usual capacity. The versatile wing finished with nine points, seven rebounds and three assists in the Nuggets' last game Thursday versus Indiana, which game on the heels of a 21-point, seven-rebound effort last Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Barton came off the bench and produced nine points (3-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal across 24 minutes in a 140-112 win over the Pacers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After logging 28 minutes while starting at shooting guard in last Saturday's loss to the Thunder, Barton didn't see a huge downturn in playing time upon transitioning back to the bench with Gary Harris (groin) returning to action Thursday. However, since the Nuggets held a commanding lead by the end of the third quarter, it's uncertain if Barton would have benefited from nearly as many minutes had the game been more competitive. Even in a somewhat limited role, Barton is still capable of shouldering a heavy offensive load for the Nuggets when called upon, but with the team at full health on the wing, his minutes and production figures to be inconsistent. He's averaging 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 three-pointers and 1.2 steals in 22.0 minutes per game over his last five appearances.

Barton will come off the bench for Thursday's game against the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Barton drew the start on Saturday against the Thunder with Gary Harris (groin) sitting out. However, Harris is back to full strength and in the starting five, pushing Barton back to a bench role. Barton had been restricted to 15 and 16 minutes, respectively, in his two games prior to Saturday, so he could see a significant drop in value by coming off the bench.

Barton contributed 21 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes during a 121-106 loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Barton got the start with Gary Harris (groin) being sidelined and took advantage of the increased playing time after he had just received a combined 31 minutes over the previous two games. Barton's a good fantasy option when the minutes are there, but with the extent of Harris' injuries not known, it's unclear if his value is in line for a boost.

Barton was added to the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Thunder after Gary Harris was scratched with a groin injury, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barton was in line to come off the bench Saturday as he has done regularly of late, but it turns out he will start instead after it was revealed shortly before tip-off that Harris would not be able to go.

Barton finished with seven points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three steals, two assists and one rebound across 15 minutes in a 127-99 loss to the Spurs on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has seen his playing time drop in three successive games, and he's fallen below 20 minutes in the last two of those contests. Due to Barton's penchant for offering big scoring totals off the bench along with helpful production in the rebounds and three-pointers categories, it's too early for fantasy owners to give up on him, but he won't make for a strong lineup option until his playing time starts to trend closer to the 25-to-30-minute range.

Barton supplied 23 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds and six assists across 32 minutes in a 106-102 win over the Clippers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has come off the bench the last six games with Gary Harris returning from a foot injury to reclaim a starting spot at shooting guard, but the 25-year-old has continued to hum along nicely as the Nuggets' sixth man. Over that six-game stretch, Barton is averaging 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in 29.5 minutes per contest, production that's largely superior to what he's provided over the course of the full season. Barton remains a must-start player in just about every season-long league.

Barton registered 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 32 minutes in a 119-102 loss to the Clippers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Barton has sacrificed some playing time while moving to the bench over the last four games in the wake of Gary Harris' return from a foot injury, but his production hasn't taken much of a hit. He's averaging 16.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 27.8 minutes per game over that stretch, though it's worth wondering if that scoring will be sustainable, Barton's point totals have been fueled in part by a 55 percent shooting mark from the field, well above his season rate of 43.9 percent.
