Matthews (calf) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers, Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews was held out of Wednesday's tilt with the Wizards because of a calf injury that he originally suffered in the team's previous game. While he's still working back from the injury, coach Rick Carlisle said he is hopeful Matthews will play Friday, although we likely won't get a final word on his availability until after the team's morning shootaround. A return from Matthews would drop Dorian Finney-Smith into a smaller bench role.

Matthews (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Wizards, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews was pulled early from Monday's game against the Raptors because of a calf strain and after testing the injury out during pregame warmups, he's decided to take the night off for additional recovery. While the Mavericks have yet to announce a starter in his place, Dorian Finney-Smith is a candidate to do so, while they could opt to go with a much bigger lineup and insert Nerlens Noel to the starting five and shift everyone else down a position.

Matthews (calf) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup against the Wizards, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews was unable to return to Monday's contest against the Raptors after suffering a right calf strain during the first half. Matthews was able to participate in shootaround Wednesday morning, so his injury doesn't appear to be severe and he could be nearing a return. If Matthews is unable to participate against Washington, Dorian Finney-Smith would be likely to shift into the starting five in his place.

Matthews (calf) will not return to Monday's contest with the Raptors, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews appeared to injure his right calf right before half time of Monday's game. While it initially looked like Matthews may have re-aggravated the Achilles injury that he suffered two seasons ago, the Mavericks were relieved to discover that the injury looks to be exclusively associated with his right calf. It remains unclear how long Matthews will be sidelined, but for the time being both Seth Curry and Devin Harris could witness a spike in minutes.

Matthews posted just nine points (2-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals over 33 minutes in Friday's 105-96 win against the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews was terrible from the field but at least he salvaged the stat line with the boards and steals. He was still able to extend his streak to six games with at least one 3-pointer Matthews has been struggling over the past seven outings and he has been affected by a hip injury. You might want to give him a game or two to get on track before plugging him back into the active fantasy lineup.

Matthews will start in Sunday's game against the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews, who's returning from a two-game absence due to an ailing hip, will immediately slot back into the starting lineup. Consequently, Nerlens Noel will revert to a role off the bench while Dorian Finney-Smith could disappear from the rotation entirely.

Matthews (hip) says he will play in Sunday's game against the Thunder, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matthews is slated to be back in the starting lineup Sunday after missing back-to-back games due to a hip issue, while Nerlens Noel and Dorian Finney-Smith figure to see a reduction in minutes as a result. Matthews had logged five consecutive games of 30 or more minutes before the injury, and this trend is expected to continue.

Matthews (hip) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Thunder, but is expected to play, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Sneed, the Mavericks are listing Matthews as a probable starter for Sunday following a two-game absence, so as long as he's able to take part in morning shootaround and pregame warmups without incident, he should be back on the top unit and prepared to assume a 30-plus-minute role. Matthews' likely return figures to translate to reduced time for Nerlens Noel (35 minutes in Friday's game against the Grizzlies) and Dorian Finney-Smith (28 minutes).
