Ulis will draw the start at point guard over Mike James for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Scott Bordow of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for Ulis' start isn't confirmed, but Bordow hypothesizes that it may have something to do with James throwing the ball at teammate Dragan Bender during the team's previous contest. Ulis is averaging 20.1 minutes this season, posting 7.1 points and 3.6 assists. It's unclear if this move means he will garner additional run.

Ulis provided 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, and two assists in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 122-114 win over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Ulis has taken a back seat to 27-year-old rookie Mike James in the aftermath of Eric Bledsoe's looming trade. Still, the sophomore has scored in double figures in three of the last four games, with averages of 10.8 points (on 51.4 percent shooting), 3.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 rebounds in 21.8 minutes over the last four tilts.

Ulis provided 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, two rebounds and one steal across 28 minutes in Friday's 112-101 preseason loss to the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year guard put a forgettable preseason opener (three points on 1-for-8 shooting) with Friday's effort. Ulis flourished during the stretch run of his rookie campaign once he took over as a starting point guard, racking up double-digit scoring efforts in 14 of his last 16 games, a stretch that included six double-doubles. However, that expanded opportunity came as a result of Eric Bledsoe getting shut down by head coach Earl Watson in mid-March, and Bledsoe returns to reclaim the top point guard job to open the coming season. Nevertheless, Ulis' strong finish put him on the map, and he should see a decent amount of run on the second unit throughout the campaign, with the very real opportunity for starts behind the oft-injured veteran.

Ulis is completely healthy heading into training camp, Gerald Bourguet of HoopsHabit reports.
EDGE Analysis
No real news here, as Ulis has been playing 5-on-5 for several weeks, but it's nonethelss worth noting that he's fully recovered from the ankle issue that kept him out of parts of Summer League back in June. Expect the diminutive Kentucky product to open the year as the Suns' No. 2 point guard behind Eric Bledsoe.

Ulis (ankle) will not participate in Summer League but is expected to be fully healthy by training camp, Doug Haller of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ulis underwent minor surgery on his right ankle in early May with an expected recovery time of 12 weeks, so the Suns won't be able to utilize him during Summer League. That said, he's fully expected to be ready for training camp, so he should get some run with the team prior to the start of the preseason.

Ulis underwent minor right ankle surgery on Wednesday and is expected to fully return to basketball activities in approximately 12 weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Ulis, who averaged 16.1 points and 8.5 assists across 39.4 minutes per game during the last 15 games of the season, apparently had been dealing with a minor ankle issue during the year. It seemingly isn't anything serious, though he's expected not to be able to participate in basketball activities for around three months as a result.

Ulis supplied a team-high 27 points (10-25 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT) to go with six assists, four rebounds and one steal across 35 minutes in a 129-104 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With backcourt mate Devin Booker (rest) sitting out the season finale, Ulis saw even more volume than usual on the offensive end, putting up a career-high 25 shots. The lack of efficiency from the field took a bigger night off the table and prevented the game from being truly competitive, but it's still remarkable that Ulis, a second-round rookie, was given such ample responsibility. The 21-year-old was undoubtedly one of the top pickups over the final month of the season after the Suns elected to shut down both Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, as he averaged 16.1 points, 8.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 39.4 minutes per game over the last 15 games, while shooting 41.7 percent from the field. He'll see his playing time tail off to begin next season, but should be a mainstay in the rotation as Bledsoe's primary backup.

Ulis finished with 20 points (7-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 assists, three rebounds and one block across 33 minutes during Sunday's 124-111 victory over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday marked Ulis' first 20-point 10-assist game of his career. The 21-year-old out of Kentucky has taken on a massive workload since mid-March, averaging 15.0 points on 41.1 percent shooting, 8.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 40.2 minutes per game over the past 13 contests. With Ulis' role on the team likely set in stone for the remainder of the year, he makes for a quality pickup in many fantasy formats, capable of a double-double on any given night.

Ulis produced a career-high 34 points (15-22 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and one steal over 45 minutes in Sunday's 123-116 loss to the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Ulis was out there for virtually the entire game and parlayed the opportunity into a spectacular performance. The 2016 second-round pick took his most shot attempts since March 19 and also drained a career-high amount of three-pointers despite often being matched up against the normally stingy defense of Patrick Beverley. Ulis continues to display excellent ball distribution skills as well, as Sunday's assist total marked his fourth time in the last five games with at least nine dimes. The former Kentucky Wildcat has handsomely rewarded owners who were savvy enough to nab him off the wire earlier in the season.

Ulis pitched in with 11 points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five assists and three rebounds over 38 minutes in Saturday's 130-117 loss to the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Ulis continues to see an abundance of playing time, with Saturday's game marking his fourth straight with well over 35 minutes. The 21-year-old's inefficiency with his shot is preventing him from generating even better production, as he's now posted a success rate from the floor of 37.5 percent or lower in six of his last eight games. The 2016 second-round pick has made up for it with excellent returns in the assists column, however, and has also offered serviceable numbers in rebounds and steals.
