Tony Allen returned from his one-game suspension for kicking Chris Paul and scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes on Friday.
Allen could be called upon like the rest of his team to pick up Marc Gasol's slack, so give him a slight bump up in your projections. He has been a solid late-round value on the year and should be owned in all standard formats.

Tony Allen has been suspended one game for kicking Chris Paul in the face during the Grizzlies' win in L.A. on Monday.
Allen will serve his suspension on Wednesday. It didn't look as though Allen intended to hit Paul with his jumping split-kick, but the punishment seems reasonable considering his shin connected flush with CP3's face nearly six feet off the ground. Expect more playing time for Mike Miller, Quincy Pondexter and Jerryd Bayless.

Tony Allen was charged with a flagrant-2 foul for kicking Chris Paul in the face on Monday and was ejected.
Paul drove by him and Allen jumped up and kicked his left leg laterally to catch CP3 in the side of the head. Allen will likely get a call from the league office and could be looking at a suspension even though it didn't look like the kick to the head was intended. He finished with five points, one board and one block in 10 minutes.

Tony Allen's solid play continued with 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals vs. the Kings on Sunday, extending Allen's double-digit scoring streak to three games.
It may not sound like much, but Allen did his damage in 30 minutes and he's on a tear to start the season -- the much-maligned offensive player is averaging 9.7 points on a career-best 58.1 percent shooting, to go along with 3.7 boards and 2.1 steals.

Tony Allen got back on track in the Grizzlies' 95-88 win over the Celtics on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-5 shooting with four rebounds, three assists and four steals in 30 minutes.
We've been seeing Allen on waiver wires and with mid-to-late round value that shouldn't be happening outside of shallow standard formats. He's not going to win you any awards but he's a serviceable low-end play. Mike Conley went for 15 and eight and Marc Gasol went for 14 and eight (neither had any steals or blocks), and Z-Bo posted 15 points and seven rebounds to go with five unsightly turnovers in the win.

Tony Allen failed to score on Saturday night with three rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes.
He missed all six of his shots and it was just a matter of time before he cooled off. The Grindfather scored 16 and 15 points in his first two games and with his seven steals, he was shaping up to have some value in standard leagues. Allen is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, but he's not the kind of guy that fantasy owners will want to count on.

Tony Allen scored 16 points with five steals in Friday's overtime win, and also added three rebounds, four assists and one block in 35 minutes.
Allen hit 6-of-10 shots and the faster pace in Memphis this season could be a good thing for him in general. He should be owned in all standard formats.

Free agent G Tony Allen agrees to four-year, $20 million guaranteed extension with Memphis Grizzlies, according to Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Take another free agent off the board, as Allen and his stellar defense will return to the Grizzlies. He's not a fantasy juggernaut, nor a great offensive player, but will be a key to what the Grizzlies hope to do this season.

The Blazers are pursuing unrestricted free agent Tony Allen.
It's hard to believe that The Grindfather wouldn't be kept in Memphis, but Jerryd Bayless surprisingly picking up his player option over the weekend may have changed their plans. The Blazers had one of the worst benches in NBA history and Allen would help behind Wes Matthews and Nicolas Batum.

The Grizzlies will meet with free agent Tony Allen once free agency begins on Monday, and he is also being pursued by the Pacers, Bucks and Knicks.
Allen was the leading vote-getter for All-Defense First-Team honors this season, and he finished fifth in DPOY voting. He said in late May, "I believe I'm going to be a Grizzly when it's over," and Memphis seems to have the inside track to retain him.
