Gobert hasn't made much of an impact on either side of the floor during this series. The four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year continues to be targeted, with Luka Doncic taking advantage of the mismatch, which has made the veteran center a non-factor for Minnesota.

Look for the big man to remain locked in Sunday in the Timberwolves' regular-season finale -- not only is it a revenge game for Gobert against the Jazz, Minnesota needs a win to try and escape the Play-In Tournament and claim the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference.

Gobert ended Thursday's 141-125 win over the Grizzlies with 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes.

Gobert has gone two straight games without a double-double, and that's a bit odd considering how good he had been playing in recent weeks. In fact, the last time he went two games in a row without a double-double was between March 16 and 17 in a back-to-back set against the Pacers and Jazz. Gobert is averaging 16.4 points and 13.2 rebounds per game since the beginning of April.

Gobert was highly efficient in this contest and is ending the season on a sizzling note. The star center has recorded seven straight double-doubles, averaging 18.6 points and 16.3 rebounds per game in that stretch, arguably his most productive of the season by a wide margin. If the Timberwolves want to make a deep run in the playoffs, they need this version of Gobert anchoring the frontcourt.
