Ray Allen will miss Friday's game due to a virus.
This came out of nowhere and Mickael Pietrus will start in his place. Allen shouldn't be out long, but Pietrus is a decent pick-and-play option if your league allows that type of move.

Ray Allen, who had been struggling with his shot the past few weeks, took a step in the right direction on Wednesday, posting 21 points (on 7-of-14 shooting), seven assists and three 3's.
Allen, like all of the other Celtics starters, was asked to play extra minutes tonight due to the injury situation in Boston, but surely his fantasy owners didn't mind. It was only a matter of time before he got his silky-smooth shot back.

Ray Allen struggled on Friday night, scoring just six points as the Celtics fell to the Raptors in Toronto.
Nobody on Boston was able to get anything going, as Rajon Rondo (five points, seven assists and five turnovers) and Paul Pierce (12 points on 4-of-11 shooting) were quiet as well. Chalk this one up as an off-night for the C's, who had a grueling game against the Lakers on Thursday.

Ray Allen had a nice duel with Kobe Bryant on Thursday, but his 22 points, six rebounds and two 3-pointers on 9-of-20 shooting weren't enough as the Lakers beat the Celtics in overtime.
That stopped a five-game winning streak for the Celtics, while Allen's putback attempt at the final buzzer was blocked by Pau Gasol. Bryant finished with 27 points, five boards and four assists on 11-of-24 shooting in the win.

Ray Allen looked sharp in his return from an ankle injury on Sunday, scoring a team-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-6 from downtown.
Allen chipped in three rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes, and is obviously safe to activate in all fantasy formats. Despite his big game, the Celtics crumbled down the stretch and lost at home to the lowly Cavaliers.

Ray Allen will play on Sunday after missing three consecutive games due to a sprained left ankle.
This is good news for a banged-up Celtics team that will again be without Rajon Rondo (wrist). In addition, Keyon Dooling (hip) has also been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Ray Allen (ankle) will miss his third straight game on Friday night when the Celtics take on the Pacers.
With Allen, O'Neal and Rondo out, the Celtics are pretty banged up right now, which makes their recent wins over Orlando very impressive. Mickael Pietrus will get another start for Allen, had three 3PM in Thursday night's game and makes for a nice pickup for Allen owners looking to replace his three-point buckets.

Ray Allen (ankle) won't play on Thursday, but Doc Rivers said he could return vs. the Pacers on Friday.
Allen and Mickael Pietrus (shoulder) have been ruled out and there are four more players who will be game-time decisions vs. the Magic -- Rajon Rondo (right wrist), Chris Wilcox (left calf), Keyon Dooling (right knee) and Jermaine O'Neal (knee). At this rate, Boston's training staff is going to be exhausted by mid-season.

Ray Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic.
Allen didn't travel with the team to Orlando and was unlikely to play. Sasha Pavlovic started in his place on Monday with Keyon Dooling (knee) out, but Dooling could replace Allen on Thursday if he's ready to play. Neither Pavlovic nor Dooling offer a lot of upside for owners, even as a spot-start in standard sized leagues.

Ray Allen (ankle) is not traveling with the Celtics on their trip to Orlando.
The Celtics don't play the Magic until Thursday, but the fact that he's not traveling with the team would indicate that his ankle needs some more time to heal. Sasha Pavlovic started in his place on Monday, but Keyon Dooling (knee) would likely start on Thursday if he's cleared to play.
