Ray Allen (ankle) will participate in shootaround but will be a game-time call on Friday against the Timberwolves. Allen will test the ankle in shootaround to see if he can go, and although he said "it feels good," he won't know his status until "later on." Allen has missed the last four games with the injury and admitted that there is still some swelling. Allen will once again be replaced by Avery Bradley in the starting lineup if he's unable to play.

Ray Allen (ankle) traveled with the Celtics to Minnesota in preparation for the game on Friday. After going through shootaround and pre-game warmups, Allen was held out of action for the fourth straight night on Wednesday against the Jazz. The fact that he's flying with the team indicates that he's close to a return, and it certainly wouldn't be surprising to see him return against the Timberwolves. If he can't play, Avery Bradley would once again start in his place.

Ray Allen (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game. Allen went through both shootaround and pre-game warmups, so it sounds like he could return vs. the Wolves on Friday. Avery Bradley has been solid in two straight starts, and will continue to play heavy minutes in Allen's absence.

Ray Allen (ankle) participated in shootaround but is a game-time decision on Wednesday against the Jazz. Allen has missed the last three straight games with the injury. If Allen can't go on Wednesday, Avery Bradley would once again draw the start in his place. Bradley has averaged 17 points and 3.5 rebounds in his two starts in place of Allen.

Beat writer Chris Forsberg believes Ray Allen's ankle injury truly is a day-to-day situation. Allen underwent an MRI on Saturday, which was negative. By holding the 36-year-old veteran out of the Sunday/Monday back-to-back, the Celtics are giving him a chance to get near 100 percent for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
