Ray Allen (flu) is expected to play on Friday against the Pacers.
Allen missed Wednesday's game against the Nets because he was sick. He was listed as questionable on Thursday, but barring an unforeseen development, Allen will return on Friday, so owners need to make sure he's in the lineup. Keyon Dooling will return to his typical reserve role.

Ray Allen (flu) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Allen missed Wednesday's game against New Jersey with the flu and Keyon Dooling got the start in his place. If the veteran can't go, look for Dooling to once again get the nod.

Coach Doc Rivers expressed little concern Wednesday over Ray Allen's illness.
Allen missed Wednesday's game with a common cold. Rivers was more concerned about his ageless shooting guard infecting the rest of the team than anything else. The Celtics' next game is Friday against the Pacers.

Ray Allen wants to re-sign with the Celtics after this season.
Allen's contract is up at the end of the year, but he's looking for another multi-year deal. It will be very interesting to see how Danny Ainge approaches this as he won't want to jeopardize cap flexibility following this season, and Allen is still contributing at a high level.

Ray Allen hit six 3-point shots in the Celtics' 100-92 win over the Wizards on Monday, shooting 9-of-16 from the field overall and finishing with 27 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
Allen got to shoot five technical foul shots before the 5:26 mark of the first quarter (he made three), and now has hit 22-of-36 (61%) triples on the year. Rajon Rondo had six points, seven boards, 13 assists, and seven turnovers, and Kevin Garnett scored 10 points with six boards and six assists of his own.

Ray Allen hit 5-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to 15 points, which led the Celtics in an ugly loss to the Hornets on Wednesday.
Rajon Rondo added 13 points and six dimes, Kevin Garnett had eight points and seven boards, and Paul Pierce missed another game with a bruised heel. The Celtics are 0-3 and are desperate to get Pierce back on Friday. But at this point, you have to wonder if that will be enough to get the ship turned around. The good news is the Celtics get the reeling Pistons on Friday.

Ray Allen hit six 3-point shots and hit 8-of-12 shots from the field to finish with 28 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the Celtics' loss to the Heat on Tuesday.
He has now averaged 24 points over his first two games, and the uptick in scoring is clearly tied to Paul Pierce's absence. We like Allen's conditioning and durability, but if you're concerned about his age and effectiveness now is the appropriate time to float some 'sell high' offers.

Ray Allen had 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers on Sunday.
He saw some extra touches with Paul Pierce out with a heel injury, so don't look for Allen to drop 20 consistently once Pierce returns.

Ray Allen said on Thursday that he's prepared to lose the entire NBA season to negotiate a fair collective bargaining agreement.
This is significant because Allen has been solely focused on preparing for another championship run next season, spurning the idea of either retirement or a stint overseas. His solidarity with the NBAPA is admirable, and it's what we expect from one of the league's most elder statesmen.
