Cook signed a one-year contract Tuesday with Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban, Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.net reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being cut loose by Portland in training camp and subsequently failing to find another landing spot in the NBA, Cook will forgo G League opportunities for a more lucrative payday overseas. Cook's deal with Lokomotiv presumably includes an NBA out clause, so he could resurface in North America if he impresses during his time in Russia. Cook most recently spent parts of the 2020-21 campaign with the Lakers and Cavaliers, appearing in 23 games and averaging 3.3 points in 6.8 minutes per contest.

Cook was waived by the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Cook played in two preseason games for the Trail Blazers and totaled seven points, two rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes. It's possible he finds work as a depth option elsewhere.

Cook signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Blazers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook split time between the Cavaliers and Lakers last season and averaged 3.3 points and 6.8 minutes across 23 contests. The Duke product has shot over 40.0 percent from three in four out of his five seasons in the NBA -- including 42.3 percent during the 2020-21 campaign. He will compete for a bench role during training camp with Dennis Smith.

Cook will sign a second 10-day contract with the Cavaliers, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook joined the Cavs on a 10-day deal back on Mar. 10, and with the contract set to expire Sunday night, the team will bring the guard back for at least another week and a half. The ex-Laker has appeared in four games for the Cavs, totaling 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals across 51 minutes.

Cook scored five points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and handed out three assists in 18 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
The Cavs acquired Cook via a 10-day contract midway through last week, and he's benefited from a pair of blowouts in his first two games in Cleveland. Cook was able to play 17 minutes and post 13 points in Friday's 34-point loss at New Orleans. In non-blowouts, he may struggle to find consistent minutes, but either way, Cook is unlikely to play enough to warrant fantasy attention.

Cook will sign a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on Thursday, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old was cut by the Lakers in late February after averaging 3.9 minutes across 16 appearances this season. Cook is expected to be available for his team debut Friday in New Orleans.

The Lakers informed Cook of his release following Monday's 127-124 overtime loss to the Wizards, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Los Angeles was satisfied enough with how Cook had performed as a depth guard, but the team elected to part ways with him to create more cap flexibility before his 2020-21 salary became fully guaranteed Wednesday. After releasing Cook, the Lakers are now able to sign two players to prorated veteran's minimum deals after Feb. 24. The veteran guard has experience as a deep bench option on champion clubs in the Lakers and Warriors, so he shouldn't have too much trouble finding a job with another team.

Cook totaled seven points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one block across 11 minutes in a Lakers' 109-98 loss to the Nets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Dennis Schroder (COVID-19 protocols) out of the lineup, Cook scored a season-high seven points and played a season-high 11 minutes. However, even if Schroder does miss more time, Cook isn't someone to target as he has only played in 16 games this season.

Cook re-signed with the Lakers on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook will return for his second year in Los Angeles, but the terms of the deal weren't immediately available. The 27-year-old guard will figure to once again have a small role on the team during the 2020-21 season after he averaged 5.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game last year.

Cook was waived by the Lakers on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook will still receive $1 million of his $3 million deal for the upcoming season, but it seems like the Lakers are looking to free up as much cap room as possible. Cook played a small role for the Lakers during the regular season in 2019-20, averaging 5.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.5 minutes. The 27-year-old may draw interest in free agency from rebuilding teams.
