Patrick Beverley tweeted his frustration regarding being left of the 2014 USA Select Team.
Beverley took to Twitter to express his frustration Thursday morning, "Woke up and was angry. Didn't get picked to play on the USA Select team. Motivation. #rednation." While Beverley may be frustrated that he won't be able to help Team USA prepare for the 2014 World Cup of Basketball, the 26-year-old should have plenty of motivation for the 2014-15 season. Beverley will present fantasy owners with high-upside value towards the later rounds of drafts as he should be able to build upon his 2013-14 averages of 10.2 points, 1.6 three-pointers, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals with Jeremy Lin now a Laker.

Patrick Beverley made the 2013-14 All-Defensive Second Team.
"I'm ecstatic. People are taking notice," Beverley said. "I'm excited. For me to only be playing in the NBA for a year and a half, it's great." Beverley was able to shutdown some the leagues best point guards throughout the year with his stingy defense, and his tenacious play is something to be admired.

Patrick Beverley (illness) played 23 minutes in Friday's Game 6 loss, scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting with four rebounds and three assists.
The fact that Beverley made it to the finish line in this series is a testament to his toughness. He didn't get nearly enough love in Defensive Player of the Year voting, but he has a ton of respect around the league after the season he had.

Patrick Beverley (illness) was a full participant in Friday's shootaround and said his fever is finally gone.
He had a 104-degree fever earlier this week and has been limited in practice since Sunday. Beverley's performance in his last two games wasn't as effective as the first three games of the series, so maybe he'll have a better showing in tonight's do-or-die Game 6 in Portland.

Patrick Beverley (illness) went through half of Thursday's practice after suffering from flu-like symptoms during Game 5 against the Blazers.
His temperature was over 100 degrees during Wednesday night's game, but he still managed to suit up and play. Beverley only logged 21 minutes, a series-low, and scored five points on 2-of-5 shooting. It is an encouraging sign that Beverley was at practice but it is hard to determine how soon he will be back to 100 percent. The Rockets will need his contributions on the defensive end if they hope to win Game 6 on Friday, but look for Jeremy Lin to again have an increased role as Beverley recovers.

Patrick Beverley (flu) had a tough time playing through flu-like conditions during Wednesday's Game 5 victory over Portland.
Beverly was only able to play 21 minutes during the win and put up five points, three rebounds, and two assists. "It was tough. I could hardly breathe. I had the chills. None of that matters. We got the victory," Beverley said after the game. "I'll probably go up to the hospital tonight. Check myself in. Get some more IVs. Get ready for this next game." Beverley also added that he had already spent 28 hours in the hospital leading up to Game 5, so it will be interesting to see if another night in the hospital will have him ready for Friday's Game 6. If not, Jeremy Lin could be in line for another 30-plus minute game.

Patrick Beverley tried his best to play through the flu on Wednesday, but lasted just 21 minutes and finished with five points, three rebounds and two assists on 2-of-5 shooting.
He's been sick for several days now and played with a high fever tonight. He made a great, early save that appeared to inspire the Rockets, but just didn't have much to give tonight. Jeremy Lin stepped up in his absence with 21 points, two 3-pointers, four assists, two steals and a block, and if Beverley isn't fully recovered by Friday's Game 6, we could see more of the same in that one.

Patrick Beverley (illness) attended Wednesday's shootaround but did not participate beyond taking a few shots after the team's walkthrough.
Beverley is expected to be in the Rockets' starting lineup despite his illness, which contributed to his quiet Game 4 on Sunday. Houston faces an elimination game on their home court and they'll need a big performance from Beverley to extend the series to a Game 6.

Patrick Beverley (illness) sat out another practice on Tuesday.
Beverley played through his ailment on Sunday but didn't fare too well, finishing with six points and one assist in 37 minutes of action. The Rockets can only hope that their starting PG is closer to 100 percent for Wednesday's must-win Game 5 in Houston.

Patrick Beverley (illness) started Game 4 but finished with only six points, one rebound, one assist, zero steals and two turnovers as the Rockets went down 3-1 in the series.
Beverley came into the playoffs with a torn right meniscus and he sprained the same knee in Game 1, but there's seemingly nothing which will keep him off the court. He logged 37 minutes and should see similar playing time in a desperation Game 5 in Houston, as his defensive prowess is a rarity in this Rockets vs. Blazers wild-west showdown.
