Speights went for 14 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block over 29 minutes in Thursday's 106-101 win over the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran big man had been expected to be one of the primary beneficiaries of Blake Griffin's (knee) expected multi-week absence, but received only 17 minutes Tuesday against the Nuggets, the Clippers' first game without their All-Star forward. Thursday's results were more along the lines of what had been expected, as Speights received his highest allotment of playing time this season. He posted his third straight double-digit scoring effort, and fifth overall in the last eight games. Given his ability to produce in relatively modest allotments of playing time, Speights could be in for a significant boost in production over the next several weeks with the expected rise in opportunity.

Speights finished with nine points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes in Monday's 121-120 win over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
With Blake Griffin (knee) sitting out in the Clippers' previous game Saturday against the Pelicans, Speights ended up seeing an enhanced role off the bench and turned in season highs in points (17), rebounds (12), assists (four) and minutes (25). Griffin was cleared to reenter the starting lineup Monday and looked healthy while playing 40 minutes, which unsurprisingly resulted in a reduced role for Speights. The reserve big man will remain a key part of coach Doc Rivers' rotation, but he'll struggle to clear 20 minutes when both Griffin and starting center DeAndre Jordan are available to play.

Speights turned in 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and nine rebounds across 16 minutes in Wednesday's 115-98 loss to the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Speights got up for his first matchup against the team with whom he spent the past three seasons; unfortunately, few of his teammates seemed to rise to the occasion. As was the case during his tenure with the Warriors, Speights has been a strong source of instant offense off the bench with his new team, but since he's averaging only 15.5 minutes per game, his fantasy upside is somewhat limited.

Speights was held to six points (2-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and three rebounds across 12 minutes in Sunday's 111-102 loss to the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Since dropping his only double-double of the season (16 points, 12 rebounds) back on Nov. 23 against the Mavericks, Speights has seen his production tail off. He's averaging just 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game over the last six contests while shooting an ugly 33.3 percent from the floor. So long as the starting frontcourt pairing of DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin remains healthy, Speights won't regularly have a chance at cracking the 20-minute barrier, which will hurt his counting stats production.

Speights put up 15 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 18 minutes in Saturday's 116-92 win over the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
Speights has gotten off to a strong start to his first season with the Clippers, providing 14 or more points in three of the Clippers' six games while hitting at least one three-pointer in all but one of those contests. He has yet to see more than 20 minutes in any game with frontcourt starters Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan occupying large workloads, but that won't often inhibit Speights from putting up a high volume of shots in a 15-minute role.

Speights provided 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 16 minutes in Wednesday's 85-83 loss to the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Speights is good for a double-digit scoring outing every few games, but it's often tough to predict when it might come. That's simply a byproduct of playing around 15 minutes per game, and so long as DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin remain healthy, Speights isn't likely to see the court time needed to turn in more consistent scoring production.

Speights provided 15 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT) and two rebounds across 16 minutes in Thursday's 114-106 win over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
After closing out the exhibition schedule with three double-digit scoring efforts in four games, Speights justified his "Mo Buckets" nickname in the season opener, hurting the Blazers both from three-point range and at the free-throw line during his limited time on the court. Speights will rarely exceed 20 minutes in any game while DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin are healthy, but in very deep leagues where he qualifies as a center, the 29-year-old may actually be more worthy of rostering than a few players who are starters at the position across the league.

Speights will draw the start in Monday's exhibition game against the Jazz, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Clippers are opting to rest Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan on the first night of a back-to-back, which has resulted in Speights addition to the starting lineup. The aforementioned resting starters are expected to return in Tuesday's matchup with the Kings, so Speights figures to return to his usual role providing depth in the frontcourt.

Speights totaled 16 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and two blocks over 21 minutes in Thursday's 109-108 preseason victory over the Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Speights looks like a seamless fit in the Clippers' bench rotation so far, with Thursday's production representing his third game with double-digit scoring over the first four exhibition contests. The veteran big man has been notably aggressive each time he's been on the court, and his 12 shot attempts Thursday, including six from beyond the arc, were preseason highs. The 29-year-old has also been strong on the boards to date, with rebound totals of five, six and eight in three games. With Speights and fellow offseason acquisition Brandon Bass, Los Angeles' frontcourt rotation looks to be considerably improved heading into the new campaign.

Speights totaled 14 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and a steal over 17 minutes in Tuesday's 120-75 preseason loss to the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran big man's new team was blown out of the water by his former squad, but Speights was a bright spot on the night. He validated many of the reasons for his signing right out of the chute, providing a flurry of offense over a limited time on the court, something he frequently excelled in during his Warriors tenure. Speights is expected to help shore up a Clippers second unit that struggled to generate offense at times last season.
