Speights will draw the start at center Thursday against the Nuggets, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Blake Griffin (rest) and DeAndre Jordan (rest) both out Thursday, coach Doc Rivers has decided to insert Speights into the starting five. He's averaging 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds across 15.9 minutes per game this season, but is likely to see closer to a 25-minute workload against the Nuggets, making him a solid DFS option.

Speights tallied eight points (3-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and eight rebounds across 15 minutes in a 116-102 win over the Celtics on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Since seeing a streak of 28 consecutive games with a three-pointer come to an end back on Feb. 15, Speights has struggled to regain his outside touch. He's shooting just 16.7 percent from distance over his last eight games, which has led to lighter-than-normal scoring totals for the second-unit big man. Speights has failed to crack double-digit points in each of his last 11 contests.

Speights registered 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 20 minutes in Monday's 118-109 loss to the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
Monday's game marks back-to-back games where Speights has posted a double-digit point total. 20 minutes seems to be the maximum playing time Speights will see on a given night now that Blake Griffin is back to form, but he's been efficient and productive off the bench with the little time he does receive.

Speights registered 11 points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and five rebounds across 17 minutes in a 107-102 loss to the Celtics on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It was Speights' first double-digit scoring performance since he returned to the bench six games ago following a one-time promotion to the starting five. Now that Blake Griffin is healthy again after a long absence due to a knee injury, Speights' window for occasionally picking up 20-to-25 minute workloads seems to have closed. He's cleared 20 minutes only once in Griffin's first five games since returning to action, averaging a meager 8.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.0 assist in that span.

Speights will return to his usual bench role for Monday's matchup against the Hawks, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Doc Rivers has apparently changed his mind about the decision to start Speights over Raymond Felton after losing 123-98 to the Nuggets on Saturday. The 29-year-old big man has been hitting 47.8 percent of his three-point attempts over the past five games, and is seeing 20.8 minutes per game over that same stretch.

Speights went for 18 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and a steal over 28 minutes in Saturday's 123-98 loss to the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran big man entered the starting five as the Clippers looked to infuse some offense into the first unit, and Speights responded accordingly. The 29-year-old posted his fourth double-digit scoring effort in the last six games, while draining multiple threes for the fifth time over that span. It remains to be seen if Speights will remain in his current spot for the Clippers' next tilt, which comes on Monday night versus the Hawks.

Speights will start at the power forward slot for Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Doc Rivers will insert Speights into the starting lineup, sending Raymond Felton to the bench. Over the past five contests, Speights is averaging 14.0 points on 55.8 percent shooting and 4.0 rebounds. It's unclear whether or not this move by coach Rivers will indicate a minutes uptick, or whether it is purely rotational, but the 29-year-old will get an opportunity to make an impact with the starting unit.

Speights tallied 23 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal over 27 minutes in Monday's 120-98 win over the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Speights is renowned for making his presence felt on the offensive end any time he's on the court, but his minutes typically doesn't exceed the teens. However, Monday's performance was an example of what he can do with some extended run, with Speights averaging just under two shot attempts per minute and posting a success rate above 50 percent for the fourth straight contest. Chris Paul's early exit due to a thumb injury and a comfortable second-half lead for the Clippers opened up more opportunity for Speights, but his playing time could be back at its usual level when Los Angeles tangles with the Timberwolves on Thursday.

Speights finished with 13 points (5-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and an assist in 15 minutes during Wednesday's 105-96 win over Orlando.
EDGE Analysis
Speights has had a scorching two-game stretch. Against Miami on Sunday, he scored a season-high 19 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) in 14 minutes. Against Orlando after three days rest, Speights again had the hot hand, missing only one shot from the field. He looks to continue his success Saturday against the Lakers, who have the second worst Defensive Rating in the league (109.6).

Speights finished with seven points (2-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist across 11 minutes in a 106-98 win over the Kings on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Speights salvaged his outing by pulling down double-digit boards for the third time this season, but his ongoing woes from the field have prevented him from taking full advantage of the playing time available in the frontcourt while Blake Griffin (knee) remains sidelined. The 29-year-old missed his first eight attempts from the field Friday and has now gone just 4-of-21 (19%) over the past three games.
