Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that Smart (leg) won't require surgery, but is expected to miss "another few weeks," Brian Robb of CelticsHub.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
When Smart first suffered the lower left leg dislocation in November, the Celtics were initially hopeful that he'd only have to miss two weeks, but it looks like that proved to be overly optimistic. Smart has been walking without the aid of crutches for about a week, but he has yet to resume basketball-related activities and it's looking likely that he won't be back until late December, though the Celtics haven't outlined an official timetable.
