Smart registered 14 points (5-15 FG, 4-14 3Pt), 10 assists, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 129-120 loss to the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has started each of Boston's last seven games and has done a good job filling out the stat sheet, as he is averaging 17.7 points, 6.4 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 steals during that stretch. With Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown potentially sidelined for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, this could lead to a bigger role for Smart -- at least in a short-term scenario.

Smart (illness) will play Tuesday against Brooklyn, Tim Bontemps of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart missed practice Monday with an illness, but his condition has improved over the last 24 hours. His teammate, Jayson Tatum (illness), hasn't been so lucky, and with Tatum expected to sit out, Smart could remain in the starting lineup -- even with Kemba Walker (knee) set to make his return.

Smart (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's contest against Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Smart's status for Tuesday's matchup was put in jeopardy after he failed to participate in practice Monday after feeling ill. The former Oklahoma State standout was coming off a terrific 26-point performance in 45 minutes against Houston on Saturday. If Smart needs another day off however, Javonte Green and Brad Wanamaker could likely benefit from increased minutes.

Smart was unable to practice Monday due to an illness, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart's status for Tuesday's tilt with the Nets has been cast into doubt. The team should provide clarification on his availability prior to tipoff, and, in the event Smart's held out, Javonte Green, Grant Williams and Brad Wanamaker are all candidates to take on a starting role in Smart's stead.

Smart tallied 26 points (9-22 FG, 5-15 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and four steals across 45 minutes in Saturday's 111-110 loss to the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was a focal point of the offense for both the first and fourth quarters, where he scored all of his points and attempted 19 of his 22 shots. The 25-year-old was more confident of shooting than usual, with his 22 shots and 15 three-point attempts being his most since Jan. 18. Smart's last four starts were mixed, as the defensive-minded guard shot a deficient 33 percent within the arc and averaged an impressive 2.8 steals. His next chance to start will come Tuesday against the Nets, but he may come off the bench depending on the availability of star teammate Kemba Walker (knee).

Smart posted 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt), nine assists, three rebounds, three steals and one block across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 victory over the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
With Kemba Walker (knee) out over the past four games, Smart has picked up the slack in a big way. He's averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and a combined 2.6 steals-plus-blocks. Wednesday's effort also marked the third time in Smart's career that he's posted at least nine assists, three steals and one block, with the Celtics going 3-0 in those contests.

Smart gathered 10 points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 assists, three rebounds and one block over 35 minutes in Friday's 127-117 win at Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
With Kemba Walker (knee) out, Smart received his 30th start of the season, but he struggled with his shooting. He made up for the poor shooting with excellent ball distribution. Smart's 10 dimes were a season high. With Walker's status unknown for Sunday's matchup with the Lakers, Smart could be in line for another start and big minutes at point guard.

Smart amassed 31 points (10-20 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, four steals and three assists across 45 minutes in Thursday's 141-133 double overtime win over the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
With Jaylen Brown (calf) out, Smart received the spot start and was tremendous in the huge win. His ability to rack up multiple defensive statistics always makes the point guard a strong option and this was his best shooting night in three games. If Brown misses anytime after the All-Star break, Smart will be a must-start in most formats.

Smart supplied seven points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four steals and two assists in 22 minutes during Sunday's 112-111 victory over the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Despite playing only 22 minutes, Smart was able to rack up a high number of steals, which marked his third performance this season with at least four swipes. While Smart is on pace to average fewer steals (1.6) than last season (1.8), he's also on pace for career highs in points (12.2), threes (2.2) and blocks (0.5) per contest.
