Whiteside (hand) will not play Wednesday against the Celtics. Whiteside suffered a laceration between the ring finger and middle finger on his right hand in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks. It is unknown how long he'll be sidelined with the injury. He should be considered day-to-day. The Heat's next game is Friday against the Hawks.

Whiteside (hand) is doubtful for Wednesday's game, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports. He suffered a laceration between his ring and middle finger on his right hand in Tuesday's game against the Bucks, and will apparently need further time off to heal. Udonis Haslem is listed as the probable center for Wednesday's game.

Whiteside will not return to Tuesday's game against the Bucks after suffering a laceration between his ring and middle finger. Whiteside attempted to block Miles Plumlee's shot in the first half of Tuesday's game but hit his hand on the rim, resulting in a cut that required a total of 10 stitches. He should be considered day-to-day until the Heat are able to update his status ahead of Wednesday's game against the Celtics. In the meantime Michael Beasley and Chris Andersen are likely in store for added minutes in the frontcourt.

Whiteside (suspension) returned to action Friday against the Raptors and posted nine points, 12 rebounds, one steal, and three blocks in 24 minutes of action. Whiteside came back from a one-game absence due to a suspension, and it appears he's back to his usual state. Whiteside has been a fantasy revelation this season, emerging from irrelevance to a solid 13.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks post All-Star break. In spite of his frequent injury concerns, Whiteside should be owned in a wide variety of leagues.

Whiteside will start Friday's game as he returns from a one-game suspension, the Palm Beach Post's Jason Lieser reports. This was anticipated, but it's worth noting that he will not incur any further disciplinary actions from the team. With Jonas Valanciunas out after the birth of his son, Whiteside should be able to have his way in the post against the Raptors.

Whiteside was slapped with a one-game suspension by the NBA on Tuesday, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports. This comes as no surprise after Whiteside deliberately crashed into Kelly Olynyk during Monday's game. The incident earned him an ejection, and he'll now miss Wednesday's game against the Nets and lose a paycheck. Whiteside figures to return to the lineup Friday in Toronto, assuming he isn't subject to any further, internal discipline.

Whiteside was ejected from Monday's game against the Celtics. Whiteside forcefully shoved Boston's Kelly Olynyk in the third quarter of Monday's game and was promptly kicked out after playing 22 minutes and recording seven points to go with nine boards. A suspension will almost certainly be handed down by the league, and it's possible he could miss multiple games.

Whiteside (ankle) will play Monday against the Celtics. Whiteside, who missed Saturday's win over the Kings with a minor ankle injury, will return to action Monday, and he figures to be among the top center options in daily formats, particularly against a relatively undersized Boston front line. Last time he faced Boston, Whiteside went for 20 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes.

Whiteside (ankle) the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Shandel Richardson reports. He missed Saturday's game with a minor ankle injury, but could return Monday. Whiteside was benched in his previous game late and was seen sulking on the bench, but the Heat clearly need him if they want to push for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. If he does not play Monday, look for Chris Andersen to see most of the minutes at center.

Whiteside (ankle) will not play Saturday against the Kings, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports. The Heat are dealing with a glut of injuries, and Whiteside can now officially be added to the list as he emerged from Friday's game with a minor ankle issue. He isn't likely to miss extended time, but he'll sit Saturday as Chris Andersen enters the starting five.
