Whiteside scored 14 points (4-11 FG, 6-10 FT) while adding 13 rebounds and seven blocks in 31 minutes off the bench during Sunday's win over the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
He cooled down a little from the free throw line, but Whiteside still took full advantage of a depleted Sixers frontcourt to pound out his ninth straight game with double-digit boards and multiple blocks. He's now averaging an incredible 18.0 points, 15.2 boards and 4.2 blocks over that stretch with a 57.5 percent field goal percentage and 78.4 percent free throw percentage, and his dominant play on the second unit is a large part of the reason why the Heat have gone 8-2 since the All-Star break despite the absence of Chris Bosh. Expect another big line from Whiteside on Wednesday when Miami travels to Milwaukee.
