Whiteside (knee) will start at center for Monday's matchup with the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside was considered questionable earlier in the day with soreness in his left knee, but after an MRI cleared him of anything serious, he'll take on his normal role in the starting five. Goran Dragic (elbow) is also good to go, so the Heat get some much-needed bodies back, with guys like Dion Waiters (groin), Tyler Johnson (mouth) and Justise Winslow all out with their respective injuries.

Whiteside (knee) remains questionable to play Monday against the Celtics, Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
An MRI on Whiteside's left knee Monday came back clean, which is certainly an encouraging sign for the big man, who had been battling discomfort following Sunday's game. A final decision on Whiteside's status won't come until closer to game-time, as he'll test the knee during pregame warmups before making a call.

Whiteside is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Celtics with a left knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
When exactly Whiteside suffered from the injury as well as the severity of the ailment are currently unknown. However, Whiteside will likely warm up on Monday night before the team makes their final decision. With Willie Reed (knee) active after missing four games, he would be in line to start at center should Whiteside be ruled out.

Whiteside scored 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-4 FT) while adding 12 rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 110-107 loss to the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
After scoring just 10 points over the last two games combined, Whiteside bounced back to record his 13th double-double of the season, leaving him one behind Russell Westbrook for the NBA lead. The big man's offense may be inconsistent, particularly from the free throw line, but his rebounding is anything but -- Whiteside's pulled down double-digit boards in every game but one this season.

Whiteside was limited to six points (3-8 FG), eight rebounds, one block and one steal across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 107-84 loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
After putting up a career-high 32 points his last time out Monday against the 76ers, Whiteside was expected to see a big workload Wednesday in the head-to-head matchup with Pistons star center Andre Drummond, but that never really materialized after Detroit turned the game into a blowout during the third quarter. It was only the second time all season Whiteside failed to record a double-double, so fantasy owners need not express concern over the down outing. He's still been a premium asset at his position, boasting averages of 17.9 points, 15.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 32.8 minutes per contest.

Whiteside submitted a career-high 32 points (13-19 FG, 6-8 FT) to go with 13 rebounds (seven offensive) and two blocks across 33 minutes in Monday's 101-94 loss to the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside got the better of an entertaining duel with standout center Joel Embiid (22 points, five rebounds and three blocks in 23 minutes), but with the Heat's backcourt failing to step up, the team took another loss to drop to 4-9 on the season. While the talent surrounding him as taken a major hit this season, Whiteside has proven worthy of the huge contract he received in the offseason. He's recorded a double-double in all but one of the team's first 13 contests and two or more blocks in all but two games, all while leading the league in rebounds and averaging 18.8 points per game.

Whiteside scored 18 points (9-14 FG, 0-3 FT) while adding 18 rebounds, three blocks and an assist in 40 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 win over the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
It's his sixth straight double-double and 11th in 12 games, and the only reason Whiteside failed to record a double-double in the 12th game was that he scored only five points. He's now leading the NBA in rebounding by a comfortable margin (16.2 per game, to Andre Drummond's 13.8) and sits second in blocks behind Anthony Davis at 2.8 a game.

Whiteside scored 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 FT) and added 17 rebounds, seven blocks, and two steals in 29 minutes during Thursdays 96-73 win over the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
For the first time this season, Whiteside blocked more than four shots in a game, a feat he accomplished 22 times during the 2015-16 season. Though he was already averaging 2.3 blocks per game, good for fifth in the league, that was significantly below expectations - Whiteside led the league with 3.7 blocks per game last season. Perhaps hopes that Whiteside might repeat those numbers were overly ambitious, as only 11 NBA players have ever exceed Whiteside's 2015-16 average, and six of them are Hall of Famers. Nonetheless, Whiteside should compete for the league lead in blocks once again this season, and it is not unreasonable to expect that his current blocks pace will increase.

Whiteside scored 19 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding a season-high 25 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 93-90 loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
The 25 boards weren't just a season high for Whiteside, they were the highest single-game total in the NBA so far. He's posted double-digit rebounds in every game this season while scoring in double digits in nine of 10 games, and it's clear that the Heat have now become Whiteside's team. Don't look for him to slow down any time soon.

Whiteside registered 23 points (9-11 FG, 5-9 FT), 17 rebounds, two blocks, two steals and one assist across 34 minutes in Monday's 94-90 loss to the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
The Heat have been without their top facilitator in Goran Dragic (ankle) the past two games and figure to remain without his services Tuesday against the Hawks, but at least so far, it hasn't seemed to impact Whiteside's productivity. The star center has claimed double-doubles in both of Dragic's missed contests, averaging 19.0 points and 15.5 boards while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor in those games. With a head-to-head matchup looming Tuesday against Dwight Howard, expect Whiteside to see another hefty workload and turned in satisfying production in the points, rebounds and blocks columns.
