Whiteside's superb December continues, as he's now rattled off six straight double-doubles, and accomplished the feat in eight of the last 11 games overall. The fifth-year pro managed his best night from the field since Dec. 3 against the Blazers, taking advantage of a Lakers squad that consistently has trouble with interior defense. Whiteside is now averaging 19.0 points, 14.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks over 12 December games.

Whiteside accrued 32 points (14-22 FG, 4-6 FT), 15 rebounds, five blocks and one steal across 47 minutes in a 136-130 double-overtime loss to the Magic on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Whiteside's huge outing certainly made him pay off for those that used in him in DFS lineups Tuesday, but he indicated after the game that he was dissatisfied by the limited possessions that ran through him in the fourth quarter and overtime. While the frustration of the Heat's 9-20 start to the season may be getting to him, it shouldn't result in Whiteside's production slowing anytime soon. He's reeled off double-doubles in five consecutive contests and is averaging 21.8 points, 17.4 boards and 2.6 blocks in 36.8 minutes per game over that span while hitting 58.4 percent of his attempts from the field.

Whiteside notched 23 points (9-13 FG, 5-9 FT), 17 rebounds and three blocks across 38 minutes in a 105-95 loss to the Celtics on Sunday.

After remarkably logging only one rebound in the first half, Whiteside pounded the glass after halftime to eclipse his season average in that category. Whiteside's scoring has been less consistent of late, but he's recorded at least 16 boards in the last four games, while collecting multiple blocks in three of those contests. He now ranks in the top four in the league in both rebounds and blocks.

Whiteside finished with 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 FT), 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 31 minutes in Friday's 102-98 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Whiteside has been above his season average of 14.7 rebounds per game in each of the last three contests, tallying 16, 22 and 17 boards. His counterpart at center, DeAndre Jordan (12 points, 19 rebounds), ended up getting the last laugh, however, turning in one of his better games of the season while matching up against Whiteside, who suggested prior to Friday's outing that Jordan "just catches lobs." Whiteside may have some regrets over that comment, but fantasy owners hold no similar reservations about selecting him in fantasy drafts. In addition to the career-best rebound total, Whiteside is averaging 17.4 points and 2.3 blocks per game.

Whiteside scored 26 points (10-16 FG, 6-11 FT) and added 22 rebounds and two blocks in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 95-89 win over the Pacers

EDGE Analysis

This was Whiteside's second 20-20 game this season, and his third game with 20 rebounds. He leads the league with 14.7 rebounds per game. The Heat are finally getting healthier, but even as players keep returning, Whiteside continues to produce at a high level.

Whiteside notched 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 FT), 16 assists, two blocks and a steal in 34 minutes in a 112-101 win over the Wizards on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Whiteside secured a double-double after falling short in his last three games. Despite that, he's still averaging 17.3 points and 14.4 rebounds per game, so there's no reason to worry about his brief double-double drought.

Whiteside scored 23 points (10-20 FG, 3-9 FT) while adding 14 rebounds, three blocks, an assist and a steal in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 114-103 loss to the Knicks.

EDGE Analysis

It's his second straight double-double and 17th in 21 games, and Whiteside has pulled down double-digit boards in every game but one this season. The Heat are trotting out a fairly ragtag starting five right now, with only Goran Dragic and Whiteside supplying consistent production, so expect the big man to continue getting fed the ball on a regular basis.

The Heat's mounting injuries have forced Whiteside to take on even larger minutes loads than normal of late, and he's shown few signs of fatigue in those contests. Despite being limited to nine points and 10 rebounds in his previous outing Thursday against the Jazz, Whiteside bounced back in huge fashion Saturday and is now averaging 20.4 points (on 64.7% shooting from the floor), 14.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks across 36.0 minutes per game in his last five contests. His outstanding numbers in the three-counting stats categories will make him an enticing roster foundation in almost any DFS contest.

Whiteside put up 25 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 FT), 16 rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 106-98 win over the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

The absences of Josh Richardson (ankle), Justise Winslow (wrist) and Dion Waiters (groin) may have opened up a few more shots on the offensive end for Whiteside, whose 17 shots were his most in the last five games. Whiteside had been battling a knee issue earlier in the week, but it evidently hasn't been much of a concern, as he's put up a combined 50 points, 33 boards and six blocks over the past two games.

Whiteside tallied 25 points (10-13 FG, 5-10 FT), 17 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 37 minutes in a 112-104 loss to the Celtics on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Business as usual for Whiteside, who has been a double-double machine. He has only failed to secure double-digit rebounds once this season. Whiteside is averaging 15.7 points and 15 rebounds per game in the month of November.
