Monroe tallied 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, and one steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 99-96 victory over the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe moved into the starting lineup with both Jonas Valanciunas (thumb) and Serge Ibaka (knee) on the sidelines. He finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, doing most of his damage in the first half. Ibaka's injury doesn't sound too serious but if he is forced to miss additional time, Monroe could be worth streaming in some formats.

Monroe will start Wednesday against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jonas Valanciunas (thumb) and Serge Ibaka (knee) out, Monroe and Chris Boucher will be the only two centers available for Toronto. Monroe will draw the start, though has only seen more than 13 minutes on one occasion, which was against one of his former teams in the Pistons. He posted 17 points, nine rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes.

Monroe (back) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against Golden State, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe missed Tuesday's game with back spasms, but all indications are that he'll be available off the bench should his number be called.

Monroe (back) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe was held out of Tuesday's game due to back spasms, but it doesn't look like the team expects him to miss another contest. The veteran's minutes have been limited this season to the point that he's not a fantasy consideration.

Monroe has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies due to back spasms, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monroe just logged a DNP-CD against the Heat on Sunday and played only three minutes against Washington the game before, so his absence Tuesday should not have any impact on the team's rotation in Memphis.

Monroe collected 17 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one steal across 21 minutes in Wednesday's 106-104 loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday night was Monroe's best game of the season by a long shot, playing his most minutes and tallying his most points, rebounds and steals on the year. He nearly double-doubled in 20 minutes of run, and should be given a more frequent look off the bench while Serge Ibaka (knee) is sidelined.

Monroe will start at center for Thursday's preseason finale against the Pelicans, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors are resting the bulk of their rotational players Thursday, which includes big men Jonas Valanciunas and Serge Ibaka. As a result, Monroe will get the opportunity to start at center and he'll likely be needed to take on a fairly significant workload considering the lack of bodies available. He's the most experienced of the group, so it wouldn't be surprising if Monroe tried to take it upon himself to lead the team offensively.

Monroe said last week that he has made an effort to extend his shooting range to the three-point line during the offseason, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
After averaging over 30 minutes per game in four of his first six NBA seasons, Monroe has transitioned to a bench role for much of the past two campaigns, with his inability to stretch the floor playing a major part in that. With teams placing increased value on big men who can knock down outside shots, Monroe, who has missed all 12 of his three-point attempts over eight seasons in the league, was forced to settle for a one-year, $2.2 million contract with the Raptors in free agency this summer. Perhaps in an effort to improve his value when he hits the market again next offseason, Monroe is eager to prove he can knock down outside shots. A capable mid-range shooter for most of his career, Monroe seems better suited than most traditional back-to-the-basket centers to incorporate three-pointers into his game, though it's unlikely he'll see enough volume from the outside to substantially improve his fantasy outlook for 2018-19.

Monroe signed a one-year, $2.2 million contract with the Raptors on Monday, Shams Charania of Yahoo reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran split last season between the Bucks, Suns and Celtics, appearing in 51 total games and posting averages of 10.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.5 blocks per game. Monroe spent more than a month on the free agent market, but he'll head north to Toronto to join what was the best regular season team in the Eastern Conference last season. The Raptors have a decent amount of frontcourt depth in Jonas Valanciunas, Serge Ibaka and Pascal Siakam, but they did lose Jakob Poeltl as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade, and Monroe will likely step in and fill a sizable portion of the minutes vacated by Poeltl's departure. Monroe is just two years removed from averaging 15.3 points and 8.8 rebounds with the Bucks in 2015-16, but at this point in his career he'll likely struggle to garner enough minutes to be more than a relatively middle-of-the-road fantasy commodity at center.

Monroe generated 15 points (4-12 FG, 7-10 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Boston's 116-92 loss to the Bucks in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.
EDGE Analysis
The versatile big man led the second unit in scoring and paced the team in rebounds during extended run in the blowout loss. Monroe saw under 20 minutes in the first two games of the series, so Friday's 23-minute allotment won't necessarily be the norm moving forward. However, Monroe has repeatedly shown an ability to be highly efficient on both the scoreboard and glass in modest allotments of playing time, so he remains a viable DFS tournament viable play when the Celtics look to bounce back in Sunday's Game 4.
